Our earthly bodies become weary as we age, and you may also notice aches or pains. Take comfort in knowing the Lord shall renew your strength, according to Isaiah 40:31. "Then they'll soar on wings like eagles; they'll run and not grow weary; they'll walk and not grow tired," promises this comforting verse.
The Bible does not have any specific ruling on minimum or maximum age. Marriage is a serious issue and a lifetime covenant between two people. And whether the man is older than the woman or vice versa, is not given much attention in the Bible.
10: [As for] the days of our years, in them are seventy years; and if [men should be] in strength, eighty years; and the greater part of them would be labor and trouble; for weakness overtakes us, and we shall be chastened.

The age of sixty is also mentioned in: Leviticus 27:7 (NIV): for a person sixty years old or more, set the value of a male at fifteen shekelsand of a female at ten shekels. Leviticus 27:3 (NIV): set the value of a male between the ages of twenty and sixty at fifty shekels of silver, according to the sanctuary shekel.
Psalm 91:16 “WITH LONG LIFE I WILL SATISFY HIM, and shew him my salvation.” Long life is God's covenant heritage for all believers. Longevity is our irrevocable inheritance through the sacrifice of JESUS on the Cross. JESUS died young for us to live long.
Retirement From a Biblical Perspective
Nowhere in the Bible does it mention we should stop working. This doesn't mean that you need to work until you die, but that the type of work you will do later in life is different. Retirement is not a Biblical concept, but a cultural concept.
When Hezekiah pleaded that his life would be prolonged, the Lord said, "I will heal thee: . . . And I will add unto thy days fifteen years. . . ." (2 Kings 20:5-6.) Bishop Vandenberg said: "Thus the Lord granted Hezekiah's request to extend his life.
For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased. 1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: 2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
He had the longest lifespan of all those given in the Bible, dying at the age of 969. According to the Book of Genesis, Methuselah was the son of Enoch, the father of Lamech, and the grandfather of Noah.
Concerning the age of the Earth, the Bible's genealogical records combined with the Genesis 1 account of creation are used to estimate an age for the Earth and universe of about 6000 years, with a bit of uncertainty on the completeness of the genealogical records, allowing for a few thousand years more.
"Even to your old age and gray hairs I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you." "Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father.
Wisdom is knowledge through experience, not age.
Experience inherently comes with age—people who have lived longer have had more 'life experience. ' But wisdom isn't an umbrella term for higher intelligence, like a lot of people assume it is. And it doesn't mean 'all-knowing,' like a lot of people assume as well.

Not everything about growing old is good. Proverbs' verse states that young men are stronger than old, but it reassures the elderly that “gray hair the splendor of the old.”
The Ages reflect the seven days of creation, of which the last day is the rest of Sabbath, illustrating the human journey to find eternal rest with God, a common Christian belief.
Longevity, or living for longer in good health, can be largely controlled by the triumvirate of eating well, exercising regularly and getting enough sleep. The evidence is clear. People who exercise live longer on average than those who don't. Regular physical activity lowers your chances of getting heart disease, stroke, diabetes, some forms of cancer, and depression. It may even help you stay mentally sharp into old age.
Tricked by his father-in-law into marrying his true love's sister, Jacob waited 14 years before he could be with Rachel. When Jacob met Rachel he kissed her and “lifted up his voice, and wept” (Genesis 29:11).
Genesis 37-50 tells the story of Joseph, the son of Jacob. God blessed Joseph richly and used him powerfully, but only after Joseph had been in slavery and prison for 13 years.
Abimelech (= Ebedmelech the Ethiopian of Jeremiah 38:7) falls asleep for 66 years and awakens next to a basket of figs, preserved perfectly fresh. Because the figs are fresh out of season, Abimelech realizes that he slept for years miraculously. Abimelech reunites with Baruch.
People retiring early in this study were significantly less likely to die from a stroke or cardiovascular diseases. A worker can choose to retire as early as age 62, but doing so may result in a reduction of as much as 30 percent. Starting to receive benefits after normal retirement age may result in larger benefits.
For some people, 55 is too early to retire—they may have more to give to their job, more to accomplish or, frankly, not enough savings. However, if you've been diligently growing your savings and can manage your living expenses with minimal stress on your budget, retiring at 55 could be a reality.
