If you choose not to learn it, you'll have to wait until much later in the game for one more chance to learn the spell from him, so make sure you choose wisely! After you learn how to cast Crucio in Hogwarts Legacy, don't forget to have a look at the Dark Arts skill tree.
You can also choose not to learn it or do it later. You will have the chance to interact with Sebastian in the Undercroft, and he will be more than happy to teach you this Unforgivable Curse.
If you decide against learning Avada Kedavra from Sebastian, that's not the last chance you'll get to learn or use the spell. Once you return to the castle, you can visit Sebastian in the Undercroft in the Defence Against the Dark Arts tower, and ask to learn about it.
If you refused to learn any of the three Unforgivable Curses and change your mind later, there is a chance to unlock them after completing the main quest line.
For players who did not take the Slytherin House or chose to turn in Sebastian without learning the curse, they can access Avada Kedavra in the Dark Arts Battle Arena, though this is only available if you purchased the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition or purchased the Dark Arts Pack DLC.
Later, in the Undercroft, the game gives you the option to turn Sebastian in or to let him get away with the murder of his uncle. Of course, in the real world, murder is a serious crime and should always be reported.
In case you missed learning the Cruciatus Curse during the quest, you can visit Sebastian in Undercroft later on in order to learn any Unforgivable Curse from him, including Crucio. Players can add the Cruciatus Curse in their Build in the late game as it is an extremely powerful spell and helps defeat enemies faster.
Though Harry encountered many opportunities that deemed Avada Kedavra necessary, it remains as one of the Unforgivable Curses Harry Potter never cast. For one, he viewed the spell as an immoral practice commonly used by users of the Dark Arts.
Its incantation is Avada Kedavra. The only known counter-spell is sacrificial protection, which uses the magic of love. However, one may dodge the green bolt or block it with a physical barrier.
In Harry's case, he is consumed with a righteous anger rather than a malicious intent. Draco Malfoy attempts to use this curse on Harry at one point, but is forestalled by Harry's use of Sectumsempra.

During this fight, Draco attempts to use the Cruciatus Curse - only for it to miss its mark. Harry actually comes off looking like the bad guy after using Sectumsempra, a spell he'd read about in the Half-Blood Prince's own potion book.
However, Harry felt no pain because the wand Voldemort used, the Elder Wand, refused to harm its true master, though Harry's body was still tossed around by the force of the spell.
In Deathly Hallows, Hermione faced a real test of her physical and psychological stamina. After being on the run from a bunch of Snatchers, the gang were taken to Malfoy Manor, where Bellatrix proceeded to torture Hermione using the Cruciatus Curse.
He partially Transfigured himself into a shark during the Second Task of the Triwizard Tournament. Dark Arts: At Durmstrang, he learned how to use the Dark Arts, although he was not a Dark Wizard. He was forced to use the Cruciatus Curse on Cedric Diggory under the influence of the Imperius Curse.
Cruciatus Curse ('Crucio')
Harry tried to use this spell himself. The first time was against Bellatrix after she had killed Sirius. His attempt was unsuccessful because, as Bellatrix mockingly explained: 'You need to really want to cause pain – to enjoy it – righteous anger won't hurt me for long…'
' as Voldemort screamed, 'Avada Kedavra! ' he was giving all those around him the message he gave Lupin: this was about ending bloodshed, not creating it. Voldemort's signature spell was Avada Kedavra.
The darkest of the Dark Arts, Harry Potter unforgivable curses are the Cruciatus Curse, the Imperius Curse, and the Killing Curse. Although the curses are highly illegal, Harry using Unforgivable Curses happened, but he uses them once he was thrust into the Second Wizarding War.
Eventually, you'll come to a door that requires someone to perform Crucio on the other. You can either perform the curse yourself or have Sebastian perform it on you. Either way, you'll then be able to use the spell, which does damage over time to any enemy that you use it on.
Neville was extremely bothered by Barty Crouch Jr disguised as Mad-Eye Moody using the Cruciatus Curse on a spider during class. This was mainly because Neville's parents were tortured by Death Eaters using this very curse, and seeing it being used in front of him must have caused trauma.
Outlawed for its extremely cruel nature, the Cruciatus Curse is one of the three Unforgivable Curses and has been used to torture both wizard and Muggle alike by followers of the Dark Arts. Whilst not fatal in itself, its use can be devastating.
Sebastian also swallowed a key so no can get it before his 'death. ' He stabs himself in the chest to recreate what Charles Grey had done to him; he has to recreate that murder scene. The joke he does play is on Grey; Sebastian chooses to recreate the death scene incorrectly!
If players select the first option agreeing with Professor Fig, "You're right," they'll redact their initial choice and see the good ending. Therefore, players who want to receive the bad ending should select either the second or third dialogue choices: "This power should not be kept from the world."
While you can make certain choices and use spells that may be considered morally questionable, you cannot canonically be evil in Hogwarts Legacy. Essentially, there's no version of the story where you'll be recognised as inherently evil and rise up as a proto-Voldemort.
