Your color personality: "[An] active but timid person with a lot of emotional ups and downs." Dandelion personalities are on-the-go free spirits "who love to talk" and are "a cute piece of charm," according to the Ktestone color personality test results.
The Dandelion Child is Resilient
Dandelion children are biologically resilient, their genes protect them from environmental threats. In some cases, these children grow up to be an inspiration, we wonder at their ability to thrive in spite of their circumstances.
With their golden flowers in the early spring, dandelions represent the return of life, the rebirth of growth and green after a harsh winter, and a display of abundant strength and power.
Dandelion Children
Temperament: Like dandelions, these hardy little buds can grow anywhere. If you had an “easy” baby, you may have a dandelion on your hands. Psychologically speaking, they are less likely to be affected by adversity, less anxious and more adaptable.
“Orchid children” are highly sensitive, and more prone to being impacted by stressors in their environment. “Dandelion children” on the other hand, so named for the dandelion's ability to grow anywhere including coming up through cracks in a sidewalk, are often able to thrive in just about any set of circumstances.
He argues that four fifths of children appear to be “dandelions”, who can thrive in most environments. The remaining fifth are “orchids”, who are more exquisite and unusual and have a higher potential than dandelions – but for this to be realised they require a particular environment and careful gardening.
Dandelion is an angiosperm, the group whose members produce flowers and seeds (Kingdom Planta, Phylum Magnoliophyta or Anthophyta).
Like the flower, Boyce says, "the orchid child is the child who shows great sensitivity and susceptibility to both bad and good environments in which he or she finds herself or himself."
Dandelions spread quickly because their seeds can travel up to 5 miles. That equates to 88 football fields! They're also called pioneer plants or ruderals because they are the first plants to grow on land that has been disturbed (like land after a wildfire).
Dandelions have a great significance in many cultures across the world. The plant is believed to be a symbol of hope, growth and healing. The noticeable seed head of the plant has more value than the yellow flower.
In addition to granting wishes, many people believe that dandelion seeds will carry your thoughts and dreams to loved ones when you blow them into the air. Others believe that dandelions may be able to tell you if you're loved.
Dandelion makes the only flower representing three celestial bodies during different phases of its life cycle – sun, moon, stars. The yellow flower of the plant resembles the sun, the dispersing seeds of the plant resemble stars, and the puff ball of dandelion plant resembles the moon.
We see the dandelion as symbolising the ability to rise above life's challenges. People with ADHD can overcome obstacles through the use of their intelligence and connections with people who can share mutual support in facing life's challenges.
Other March Birth Flowers
Pisces birth flowers are roses, dandelions, carnations, lotuses, water lilies, orchids, cosmos, lavenders, blue pendant ginger, and poppy.
Life Cycle: Dandelions grow from seeds and do not spread asexually from stolons or runner; they have a single tap root. However, they can and do reproduce asexually by seed. They are capable of producing viable seed without need of cross-fertilization, a process known as "apomixis".
Giving orchids online means giving a gesture of Love and sensuality to a woman or girl we particularly care about. Together with a composition with roses, it is among the most popular and most chosen flowers by men with whom to pay homage to their women, wife or girlfriends.
The word orchid is derived from the Greek word (orchis) for testicle because of the shape of the root tubers in some species of the genus Orchis. These nonwoody perennial plants are generally terrestrial or epiphytic herbs (i.e., growing on other plants rather than rooted in soil).
Orchids are symbolic of beauty that is highly exotic and also femininity. This is a perfect gift for Women's Day and they come in several colors which are linked to diverse emotions. Orchids are symbolic of beauty, love, charm, thoughtfulness, fertility and refinement.
Dandelions have been called lion's-tooth, cankerwort, Irish daisy, monk's-head, priest's-crown, puffball, blowball, and milk-, witch-, or yellow-gowan (3). The Chinese called it "earth-nail" (9) in reference to its sturdy taproot.
Dandelions are both male and female at the same time. For most hermaphroditic flowers, the genders develop at slightly different times to avoid inbreeding. Inbreeding allows negative traits that are normally recessive to become physical traits, which isn't good.
It has a rosette of leaves at the base of the plant; a deep taproot; a smooth, hollow stem; leaves that may be nearly smooth-margined, toothed, or deeply cut; and a solitary yellow flower head composed only of ray flowers (no disk flowers).
My review produced “5 Cs of resilience”: confidence/control, connections, commitment, calmness, and care for self.
A pattern that shows up very often in studies of resilience is a high correlation between resilience and self-esteem. It would be very easy to conclude that, if we help children develop self-esteem, we can also increase their resilience.
