Luz Noceda is the main protagonist of the Disney Channel animated series The Owl House, created by Dana Terrace. She is voiced by Sarah-Nicole Robles.
Origin of the name Luz:
Luz is the Spanish and Portuguese word for “light.” This word originates from the Latin root lūmen (meaning “bright,” “shine,” or “light”).
The Owl House could have taken the easy route and abandoned its neurodivergent coding as the fantasy world was introduced, transforming Luz from a character who clearly exhibits symptoms of ADHD and morphing her into an untouchable heroine.
During her fight against Emperor Belos in "King's Tide, Luz sufferes an injury that results in a scar through her left eyebrow.
Sometime after Luz's birth, Manny developed an unspecified condition or illness. The Noceda family eventually moved to Gravesfield, as it was closer to a better hospital for him. However, Manny eventually succumbed to his condition.
Camila Noceda is a supporting character in The Owl House. She is a veterinarian, who is the widow of Manny Noceda and the mother of Luz Noceda.
But then, right near the end of the newest episode, "For The Future," Luz's palisman hatched from its egg and the world was introduced to Stringbean.
However, more than anything else, the thing that substantiates the claim that Luz is coded to have ADHD is the narrative itself, and oh, how unambiguous it is.
Voice. Vee is voiced by Michaela Dietz. When she is disguised as Luz, she is voiced by Sarah-Nicole Robles, who also provided her voice, albeit uncredited, when Vee first appeared.
Lucia Noceda is the elder sibling of Luz Noceda, works a 9-5 job, and attends Hexside.
Luz is Chelo's little sister. A tough, smart, and sassy-ass tomboy, she's not afraid to speak her mind. She's not happy with her big brother's behavior and is quick to tell him so. But when his problems become his powers, she's not sure it's such a good thing.
In fact, one reviewer even stated that nearly every resident of the Owl House, including Eda Clawthorne (Wendie Malick), King (Alex Hirsch), and Luz, have post-traumatic stress disorder, commonly known as PTSD. By the second season of the series, Luz has begun a romantic relationship with Amity Blight (Mae Whitman).
In the Kabbalah tradition, the Zohar states that the luz is the bone in the spine that appears like the head of a snake, implying that is the sacrum at the bottom of the spine, because the sacrum is the only bone in the spine that looks like the head of a snake.
It follows Luz, a 14-year-old human who stumbles upon a mysterious door that turns out to be a portal to the demon realm. While there, she meets and befriends a witch named Eda (Wendie Malick) and her demon aid King (Alex Hirsch).
While them being the children of the Owl House Family has them view the two as siblings, as Luz has mentioned how she sees King as a brother. After "Agony of a Witch" aired it inspired fans to draw King conferting Luz with Hooty.
Luz tries to get Amity to stand up for them, but Amity remains quiet. The trio is then forcibly expelled from the school by the guards, and Amity is forced to take double the amount of classes as punishment for what happened. Luz, however, refuses to accept their expulsion, and confronts Odalia outside the school.
Luz has never met her father, he died in an accident before she was born. She is the youngest in her family, having two older siblings, Lucia and Luca.
In the latest episode of the beloved cartoon about a human girl who stumbles into a world of witches and demons, Luz Noceda, our plucky protagonist, shared her first kiss with her girlfriend, the witch Amity Blight!
LUZ IS LITERALLY TALLER .
As Amity faces Grometheus, the monster manifests Amity's greatest fear, which is revealed to be rejection from an unknown individual whom she wanted to ask Grom as her date, by taking the individual's physical appearance and tearing Amity's invitation letter in half.
To go on a small personal anecdote here: I was diagnosed with autism when I was 13, but my mom first got me evaluated when I was much younger.
During the big battle, the palisman is still forming, so it's mostly just a glowing orb. But after the dust settles, Luz reveals her newly hatched friend... A snake-shifter!
The Owl House follows Luz Noceda, a 14-year-old Dominican-American girl who stumbles upon a magical world and attempts to become a witch. On Aug. 8, the show aired a prom-themed episode in which Luz dances with another female character, Amity, who is shown to have a crush on Luz.
