The vast majority of scorpions are nonsocial, solitary animals that interact only at birth, during courtship, or for cannibalism. They are often so aggressive that they are usually considered “inveterate cannibals.” A few, however, exhibit social behaviour.
Foremost among behavioral adaptations are the exploitation of burrowing and noctur- nal habits which provide a temporary escape from extreme daytime temperatures and desiccating air a t the surface.
With their large pincers and venomous, stinging tails, scorpions can be intimidating creatures. While these arachnids generally keep to themselves in the wild, they won't hesitate to fight off attackers and hunt food using one of their natural defenses.

The muscles that administer a sting can actually fire in a dead scorpion, under certain circumstances. If you find a dead scorpion, use a broom and dustpan to pick it up.

Scorpios don't fall in love easily.

Look around the outside of your home. Standing water or a leaking hose next to the house can be inviting to scorpions. Inside your house, bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms are common water sources. Leaking pipes are the usual culprits but even damp spaces, like basements, are enticing.
To kill a scorpion, make sure you are wearing protective clothing then stab it with a sharp object. Do not simply crush it, as many scorpions have the ability to completely flatten themselves.
