The rarest mineral on Earth is kyawthuite. Only one crystal, found in the Mogok region of Myanmar, is known to exist. Caltech's mineral database (opens in new tab) describes it as a small (1.61-karat) deep orange gemstone that the International Mineralogical Association (opens in new tab) officially recognized in 2015.
Kyawthuite – A rare mineral, Kyawthuite is also categorized as a natural bismuth antimonate. Kyawthuite was found near Mogok in Myanmar. This region is known to have deposits of various types of gemstone minerals. However, in the case of Kyawthuite, only one sample has been found till date.
These four phenomena are reflection, refraction, diffraction, and interference.
The rarest of phenomena: A total eclipse of the Sun.
Rainbow is a natural phenomenon showing dispersion of light. Q.
Lightning is a sudden electrostatic discharge that occurs typically during a thunderstorm. This discharge occurs between electrically charged regions of a cloud (called intra-cloud lightning or IC), between two clouds, or between a cloud and the ground.
#1 – Aurora Borealis In The Arctic & Antarctic
Lastly, there are the northern and southern lights, the aurora, and polar lights, all of which can be seen in the high-latitude regions of the Arctic and Antarctic.
Energy Released: 1,050 Quintillion Joules
In terms of energy released per second, Volcanoes have every other natural disaster types beat out due to their explosive nature. The most powerful eruption in the observable history of our planet the eruption that created the La Garita Caldera.
Painite : Not just the rarest gemstone, but also the rarest mineral on earth, Painite holds the Guinness World Record for it. After its discovery in the year 1951, there existed only 2 specimens of Painite for the next many decades. By the year 2004, there were less than 2 dozens known gemstones.
The one that appears most infrequently (rarer than the rarest personality type and rarest eye color, though not quite as rare as the rarest hair and eye combination) is heterochromia, or having different-colored eyes.
Vaquita. On the brink of extinction, the vaquita is the smallest living species of cetacean. The single rarest animal in the world is the vaquita (Phocoena sinus).
If you happened to fall into the INFJ personality type, you're a rare breed; only 1.5 percent of the general population fits into that category, making it the rarest personality type in the world. When it comes to physical attributes, this is the rarest hair and eye color combination in humans.
If an object is rare, there aren't many of its kind. Obviously, finding a rare gem is a rare occasion. Rare comes from the Latin word rarus, meaning “widely spaced,” as rare things are — whether in actual space or in time.
A natural phenomenon is an event that occurs naturally. Natural phenomena cannot be controlled by humans but they affect the humans in many ways. Some of the natural phenomena are rain, lightning, thunder, earthquakes, storms etc.
Solar phenomena are natural phenomena which occur within the atmosphere of the Sun. These phenomena take many forms, including solar wind, radio wave flux, solar flares, coronal mass ejections, coronal heating and sunspots. Solar activity: NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory captured this image of the X1.
Lightning is a giant spark of electricity in the atmosphere between clouds, the air, or the ground. In the early stages of development, air acts as an insulator between the positive and negative charges in the cloud and between the cloud and the ground.
The temperature of the air in the lightning channel may reach as high as 50,000 degrees Fahrenheit, 5 times hotter than the surface of the sun. Immediately after the flash, the air cools and contracts quickly. This rapid expansion and contraction creates the sound wave that we hear as thunder.
A channel of negative charge, called a "stepped leader", will descend from the bottom of the storm toward the ground (image 2). Thunderstorm gathers another pool of positively charged particles. Negatively charged area in the storm will send out a charge. Lightning channel develops.
The colours of the rainbow are: Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. Can you find items from around the house in each of the seven colours?
Purple, magenta, and hot pink, as we know, don't occur in the rainbow from a prism because they can only be made as a combination of red and blue light. And those are on opposite sides of the rainbow, nowhere near overlapping. So there is no purple or hot pink in the rainbow from a prism.
