The Cam Family rescued Frankie from the RSPCA and is a working dog on their cattle property. She's the third kelpie he's rescued from the same shelter. Scotty has her well trained and she has no stage fright being in front of the camera.
That star-in-the-making is Frankie the dog, who belongs to host Scott Cam. Since The Block 2022 was filmed on a massive 60 acre property in Gisborne, Victoria, Scotty thought it was the perfect opportunity to bring Frankie with him.
But Frankie is 100 per cent Scotty's family dog and was rescued from the RSPCA in Yagoona, where the host found his two previous dogs, Rosie and Lizzie.
"My beautiful dogs that I've had - Lizzie and Rosie - that I get from the RSPCA at Yagoona, they're so good that I keep them forever," Cam said. Rosie was taxidermied after her passing, joining Cam's other beloved dog, Lizzie.
Cam's Nine-owned house was tactically decided not be auctioned off alongside the contestants' offerings, and is in fact not on the market at all. For now, Nine is keeping tight-lipped about its plans for Cam's place.

The Block host Scott Cam has set the record straight on the house he is building alongside the contestants on this year's season. The Channel Nine reno show has implied Scott, 59, owns the house and is renovating it with his family in mind - but this isn't actually the case.
"Thankfully, she was wearing a collar, so a lead was available to contact Rosie's owner, who was delighted she had been found safe and well." Rosie, a border collie, disappeared while enjoying a walk with her dog dad, Steve, 68, and the family's second dog, Laser, in Southfields Park, according to BBC.

While a shirtless Darren Palmer swinging a bale of hay over his shoulder certainly caught our attention in the promo for The Block 2022, it was another star that stole our hearts. Yes, we're talking about host Scotty Cam's tractor-driving, tool-retrieving kelpie pup called Frankie.
Despite his popularity, Scotty has maintained a relatively lowkey life with his family. While he will often share photos of special moments with his three children, Charlie and twins Bill and Sarah. But unfortunately, Ruby was diagnosed with cancer and died in May 2022. Before she passed, a Netflix movie about her called "Rescued by Ruby" premiered. Ruby's story will live on and continue to inspire countless people.
