According to Vought, though, Soldier Boy died in 1984 as a result of a nuclear power plant meltdown.
Homelander tries to help him, while Soldier Boy begins charging up his nuclear blast. Soldier Boy prepares to blast Ryan and Homelander, so Butcher attacks him with his Heat Vision, which Ben blocks with his shield.
The Boys (TV Series) The Boys are going to Russia! Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) has spent most of the first three episodes searching for "BCL Red," a Russian weapon that killed the superhero Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles). If he can find this weapon, he can use it to kill Homelander (Antony Starr).
Superhuman strength: Soldier Boy is not as strong as Homelander, Stormfront, or any other supes. However, he is still relatively strong, similar to a super-soldier. Superhuman Speed: Soldier Boy is able to dodge bullets as well as punches and blows easily.
Gunpowder proceeded to man a gun on a jeep and started to gun down anything in his pass, killing Sandinistas and Grace Mallory's men. During this, his teammates betrayed Soldier Boy by knocking him unconscious, allowing the Russians to take him to their facility where they tortured him for decades.
After coming across a mortally wounded Soldier Boy, near-vertically bisected by a blast, in the aftermath, Mallory had then dropped a grenade by his feet before walking away, mercy killing him.
While there, Stan Edgar schemed to betray Soldier Boy to the Russians, with Countess and the rest of Payback being tired of Soldier Boy's abuse and agreeing to the plan.
However, Noir's fear of Soldier Boy is surprisingly bigger than his loyalty to Homelander. When Noir escaped from Vought due to the news of Soldier Boy returning, Homelander was genuinely distraught over the news as he believed Noir always had his back.
The superhero Soldier Boy was given a shield with an eagle emblem sometime after World War II, during which he preferred to carry a submachine gun. The shield is very heavy, as normal humans cannot lift it, while he can wield it with ease. In 1984, Soldier Boy and Payback were stationed in Nicaragua.
In the 1984 mission to Nicaragua, all the Payback members turned on their leader. Soldier Boy put on a strenuous resistance and severely injured Black Noir, who lost part of his brain and half of his face due to flames during that clash, forcing him to wear a mask for the rest of his life.
"Mother's" Milk, primarily known as MM, is depicted as a regular human (though still a military veteran) with a dislike of Vought and its Supes resulting from a car crash caused by Soldier Boy in MM's youth, which killed his mother, uncle, and grandfather, and led to his father working himself to death as a lawyer ...
Compound V is an alchemical super serum that was created by Nazi geneticist Frederick Vought for the Third Reich. The mutagenic serum was formulated to enhance the human body and mind and was intended to be utilized by the Germans during the Second World War in order to create super soldiers for Nazi Germany.
Kimiko is hit with one of his blasts before he runs off and is badly injured. Come the end of the episode she is bleeding out in the back of a van, unable to heal herself like usual because she has no more Compound V in her body.
Soldier Boy was also categorized as a coward and extremely weak-willed, a fact emphasized by Soldier Boy wetting himself on the cover of The Boys #33. Eager to join The Seven, he was tricked into having sex with Homelander — believing it to be a recruitment test.
Soldier Boy was the original strongest superhero in the world, and even after being brought to the present day, it is only the upgraded version of himself that is more powerful than him.
The grand finale of The Boys comic book series confirms that there is only one hero who is actually stronger than Homelander, and that's his (even more) evil clone, Black Noir. Created to be an upgraded version of Homelander, Black Noir proves his superiority in the final battle between these two deranged powerhouses.
Soldier Boy is often likened to Homelander. He's similarly invincible (seemingly), making whatever weapon that killed him a possible tool for our heroes to destroy Homelander. His powers are standard leading man abilities in the comic world: superhuman strength, superhuman speed, and superhuman longevity.
Soldier Boy would win in a fight against Captain America. Although Captain America has the experience and fighting skills, he doesn't have Soldier Boy's strength and durability. On top of that, Soldier Boy recently obtained the powerful ability to release nuclear energy blasts from his body.
Enhanced Strength: Allen possesses incredible degree of superhuman strength, making him consistently able to sustain lifts 800 lbs (363 kg), and bench pressing 1,100 pounds (500 kg) as a warm-up. For instance, Nick Fury stated that Steve could "bench-press a Toyota".
In the comics, Black Noir is a long-time member of the Seven, almost always shown in silhouette with his face obscured. His powers include super strength and supposed skills as a pilot. He is stronger than even Homelander; Mother's Milk states he can "[...] bench a dozen Mack trucks".
During Payback's fight against Soldier Boy, Black Noir received catastrophic brain injuries that left him both unable to verbally communicate and saddled with bizarre hallucinations of cartoon animals.
Later in the season, he is seen crying as he finds out about the compound V news, which hints that he might have had a good relationship with his parents and guardians, and is now disheartened thinking that they probably used him. The member of the seven is now seemed to be going on a persona mission.
On a side note, the WWII version of Soldier Boy is an actual villainous parody of Captain America while the present-day Soldier Boy is a comedic spoof of Captain America. It has been noted that Jensen Ackles is portraying the original Soldier Boy instead of the current, incompetent one.
Crimson Countess is a parody of Marvel's Scarlet Witch and like the latter's relationship with Vision in the comics, she has a relationship with Mind-Droid.
Soldier Boy told him he “wasn't good enough” and tried to walk away, but when Black Noir laid his hands on him, Soldier Boy lost his temper and savagely battered him in front of the other supes. Soldier Boy then said: “You think you can be me?
