When Allah ﷻ said: “I test only those I love.” I took the Pain like it was an Honor. Prophet ﷺ said, “When Allah loves a servant, He tests him,” [Tirmidhi].
4) Tests are given to us to strengthen our iman (faith).
Verily a trial remains with a servant until he walks the earth having no sin left upon him.” [Bukhari]. Allah wants to refine us, out of His love and mercy, so that we can attain not just Paradise but the highest rank of the Prophets and the righteous.
These tests are meant to purify us - Tests are not a punishment. They are a part of His infinite mercy. Through them, He eliminated some of our mistakes and sins.
In the saheeh hadeeth it says: “The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. When Allaah loves a people He tests them. Whoever accepts that wins His pleasure but whoever is discontent with that earns His wrath.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (2396) and Ibn Maajah (4031).
Tests are not a punishment from the Almighty. Instead, they are a part of Allah's merciful planning. Through these tests and trials, He eliminates some of the mistakes and sins done in negligence.
We all experience difficulties in our life's and as Muslims we should know that this is a test from Allah. In fact that this is something Muslims firmly believe in, that going through difficult times is inevitable.
Characters in the Bible experience tests throughout the entire story to see if they can live up to God's intended purpose for humanity. Let's look at the narrative pattern of God putting a test before humans to see if they respond with faithfulness or act by their own wisdom in disobedience.
“Oh Allah, honor me with the light of understanding and save me from the darkness of doubt, and open the doors of your knowledge and the richness of your recognition to us, oh Merciful of Merciful ones. Please, Allah, provide me Tawfeeq to study and answer all of the difficult problems with books.
Islam. “Not one of you truly believes until you wish for others that which you wish for yourself.” “No one of you is a believer until he desires for his brother that which he desires for himself.” “Do unto all men as you would wish to have done unto you; and reject for others what you would reject for yourself.”
He remembered Allah (swt) even though he had everything. Now, Allah (swt) was about to test Prophet Ayyub (as) in a way that would push the boundaries of Prophet Ayyub's (as) faith in Allah (swt), and he was about to undergo an extremely difficult test.
“And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirun (the patient). Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: “Truly! To Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return.”
[2.284] Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allah's; and whether you manifest what is in your minds or hide it, Allah will call you to account according to it; then He will forgive whom He pleases and chastise whom He pleases, and Allah has power over all things.
Whether you sin the next day or the next month, make sincere taubah(repentance) every time you commit a sin. Armed with the strength of hope in the mercy of Allah, and the belief that sincere repentance wipes away all sin, you have to strategize and plan.
Allah ﷻ says in Surah Al-Baqarah: "And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, Who, when disaster strikes them, say, 'Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.
We have to find our way in the world, and all along we face tests of physical illness, mental troubles, financial reversals, unfulfilled expectations, and loss. Though we cannot choose most of the tests we face in life, we can choose how we're going to face them.
Muslims should seek remedy against the trials by holding fast onto the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet. Allah says: "Then, whoever follows My Guidance shall neither go astray, nor fall into distress (suffering) and misery (sadness)." (Quran, 20:123).
Profession of Faith (shahada).
The belief that "There is no god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God" is central to Islam.
Traditions. Ayat al-Kursi is regarded as the greatest verse of Quran according to the hadith. The verse is regarded as one of the most powerful in the Quran because when it is recited, the greatness of God is believed to be confirmed.
Whether we describe it through physics, or refer to it as the Golden Rule from the Bible, karma is a natural law of the universe. We should take responsibility and be mindful with our actions — because they always have consequences.
Help me, not only with this test, but the many tests of life that are sure to come my way. and be gracious with what I have overlooked. Help me to remain focused and calm, confident in the facts and in my ability, and firm in the knowledge that no matter what happens today you are there with me.
Dua for victory and guidance
“My Lord, aid me and do not aid against me, and grant me victory and do not grant victory over me, plan for me and do not plan against me, guide me and facilitate guidance for me, grant me victory over those who transgress against me.”
But it is true that God tests us — that is, He allows us to get into situations where we must make a choice between right and wrong. Remember: At the beginning of His ministry Jesus was tempted by the devil to abandon the mission God had given Him — and God allowed that test to happen.
For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing” (James 1:2-4 NLT). The Bible tells us that when our faith is tested, our character will grow.
