Professor Alecto Carrow was a Dark witch, Death Eater and the sister of Amycus Carrow. Alecto fought in the First Wizarding War along with her brother.
The Death Eaters are characters featured in the Harry Potter series of novels and films. They are a radical group of wizards and witches, led by the dark wizard Lord Voldemort, who seek to purify the wizarding community by eliminating wizards and witches born to non-magical parents.
Professor Igor Karkaroff (d. before 31 July, 1996) was a wizard and Highmaster of Durmstrang Institute. During the First Wizarding War, he was a Death Eater who served Lord Voldemort.
Deathly HallowsEdit
Professor Burbage affronts Voldemort and his Death Eaters by teaching that Muggles are not so different from wizards, and by daring to publish "an impassioned defence of Mudbloods" in the Daily Prophet. As a result, she is kidnapped by Death Eaters and summarily executed by Voldemort.
Nagini, the giant snake in the “Harry Potter” series, eats Professor Charity Burbage, who is the Muggle Studies teacher at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Isaacs brings up Lucius' disheveled appearance in Deathly Hallows, raising the possibility that the Malfoy patriarch had begun drinking too much. The way Isaacs saw it, Lucius was in a no-win situation. Given everything he'd done, the man no longer had a place on either side of the war.
In the world of Harry Potter as we know it, there are no recorded instances of a person who was sorted into Hufflepuff ever becoming a Death Eater, or any other kind of Dark Wizard for that matter. ...
Severus Snape
Snape's careful planning saved the day many times. If this list spoke to emotional intelligence, there'd be a different conclusion - terrorizing eleven-year-olds and staying hung up on your high school crush for literal decades are sure choices - but Snape was definitely the smartest Death Eater.
This is false as there is no proof that Krum's father is a Death Eater.
It is actually because of that statement that Karkaroff discusses the Dark Mark with Snape; he believes that Snape either betrayed Voldemort, or was in a position to betray him, before Voldemort's fall, just as Karkaroff had betrayed Voldemort's followers afterwards.
Viktor entered the maze behind Harry and Cedric, and began searching for the Triwizard Cup. During the task, Barty Crouch Jr, posing as Alastor Moody by way of the Polyjuice Potion, managed to place the Imperius Curse on Viktor as part of his plot to steer Harry Potter to victory in the Tournament.
Most Death Eaters (aside from the Lestranges, Malfoys, Snape and Pettigrew) have unconfirmed houses, but there is one pseudo-death eater; Quirinus Quirrel, Ravenclaw, a guy who had Voldemort living behind his head for an entire school year.
It is interesting also to note that Harry does not actually kill Pettigrew, but that Voldemort's gift kills him despite Harry's efforts to save him. Pettigrew's death is a reaction to his own attempt to kill, or at least, disable Harry, coupled with Voldemort's distrust of his own lieutenant.
Furious at the world that seemed suddenly to have turned on his father, Draco accepted full membership of the Death Eaters and agreed to perform the murder Voldemort ordered.
Hufflepuff has produced the least amount of Dark wizards
'They didn't want to show off, they weren't being reckless, that's the essence of Hufflepuff. ' In fact, the most evil deed we can remember a Hufflepuff ever doing was Ernie Macmillan wearing a 'Potter Stinks' badge.
Due to his humiliation in the Triwizard Tournament, Cedric eventually becomes a Death Eater and kills Neville Longbottom. Due to Neville's death, the final Horcrux Nagini was never destroyed, and as a result Voldemort is never defeated, kills Harry and takes over the Wizarding World.
Cho Chang is a Ravenclaw student one year above Harry, and is the Seeker for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. She is Harry's first love interest, is described as being "very pretty" with long dark hair and is frequently accompanied by a group of giggling girls.
Bellatrix Lestrange was Lord Voldemort's equal in cruelty, if not worse than him. She was unparalleled when it came up to committing some of the most horrible acts of cruelty and destruction. She truly belonged to the Dark side and loved to embrace it. Bellatrix had no qualms about killing even her family members.
If there was a group in the Harry Potter universe that is the exact opposite of the Death Eaters, it would have to be the Order of the Phoenix, led by Albus Dumbledore. The Order of the Phoenix's main goal was to stop Voldemort, and by extension, his Death Eaters, at all costs.
This theory suggests that each time he created a new Horcrux, that specific Horcrux diminished a part of his soul. Thus, his nose began to sink in, eventually disappearing altogether. Due to his tampering with dark magic, his human appearance evolved into a more snake-like state.
The Malfoys are able to avoid serving time in Azkaban, as they provide evidence that helps the Ministry track down the Death Eaters who had fled after the war. It is also probable that, since Narcissa's lie to Voldemort saved Harry's life, the family is pardoned for their crimes.
Lucius and Draco's crimes were forgiven due to their abandonment of Voldemort and his cause and Narcissa's lie to the Dark Lord that saved Harry Potter's life in the Forbidden Forest in the Battle of Hogwarts. None of them served time in Azkaban.
When Lucius turns on Voldemort due to the reveal of his Horcruxes, Narcissa divorces him, taking 75% of Malfoy's wealth with her.
