Percy's mom, Sally Jackson, chose to marry him to protect Percy from the ever-growing threat of Greek monsters and gods. Gabe had a pungent odor, which was described by Percy as "moldy garlic pizza wrapped in gym shorts," earning him the infamous nickname "Smelly Gabe".
Sally met Poseidon on Montauk Beach one summer and fell in love. She married Gabe later on primarily because Gabe is smelly, and his stench would protect Percy from monsters.
She is abducted by the Minotaur and then given to Hades in order for Percy to come to the Underworld. Percy is unable to rescue her and retreats to Camp Half-Bloods and allowed to go on his quest with Grover and Annabeth Chase.

NERITES A minor sea-god who was the charioteer and a male-lover of the god Poseidon.
Poseidon chose Amphitrite from among her sisters as the Nereids performed a dance on the isle of Naxos. Refusing his offer of marriage, she fled to Atlas, from whom she was retrieved by a dolphin sent by Poseidon. Amphitrite then returned, becoming Poseidon's wife; he rewarded the dolphin by making it a constellation.
Bianca di Angelo died on Christmas day. Her brother, Nico, wasn't told that she had died until his eleventh birthday, January 28. The fact that it is his birthday goes forgotten by Percy Jackson, the person who brought the news, because the birthday was shared with Thalia Grace's 16th birthday.
