Following Oz's departure, Willow secretly performed spells with fellow Wicca Tara, but there were hints that they were more than just friends. Shortly afterward, their relationship did become more intimate, and Willow would identify as a lesbian. More specifically, Willow explicitly declared herself as gay.

In their senior year, Willow and Xander started an affair, cheating on their respective others. Willow was consumed with guilt over her actions, even attempting a "de-lusting" spell for her actions with Xander, only to be stopped by him.
On January 16, 2023, Willow learns that Nina is her biological mother, Nelle is her twin sister, and Wiley is her biological nephew. On June 29, 2022, Willow found out she's pregnant with her second child with -husband/ Michael Corinthos, a baby girl due in February 2023.
When Willow performed the Slayer activation spell in 2003, she channeled the energy of the Slayer through herself, making herself pregnant with the essence of the original Slayer, Sineya. Frankie was born after fourteen months of gestation, in July 2004.

Xander loses his virginity to Faith in this episode. He will reveal it to the Scoobies in "Consequences," believing to have a connection to Faith, and compare it to Anya's "more romantic" approach in "The Harsh Light of Day." Faith will tease him about it in "Who Are You?" and "Empty Places."
When he returned to Sunnydale, believing his goal was accomplished, he learned of Willow's relationship with Tara. Oz's strong emotional response to this led him to transform during the day. Since he could not truly cure his lycanthropy, Oz left Willow once, knowing she was happy with Tara.
Last week, Jax (Charlie Hunnam) learned that Tara (Maggie Siff) faked her pregnancy — and a miscarriage — as part of an elaborate scheme to keep Gemma (Katey Sagal) from being able to gain custody of Jax and Tara's sons should Tara end up in jail for the charges pending against her.
While in Chicago, Tara dated ATF agent Joshua Kohn, and got pregnant, and had an abortion at six weeks. Kohn became intimidating, violent, and obsessive, so she took out a restraining order against him several months before she returned to Charming, after an absence of 10 years.

In the episode "Dirty Girls", Xander's left eye is gouged out by the evil preacher Caleb (Nathan Fillion), and he begins wearing an eyepatch. Though he and Anya get back together, in the series finale, "Chosen", Anya is killed by a Bringer's sword.
