In The Silmarillion, Galadriel and Celeborn meet in the First Age of Middle-earth, in the elven realm of Doriath. They marry and have children, including their daughter Celebrían, who goes on to marry Elrond and give birth to Arwen.
The couple met in the early First Age, as Finrod and Galadriel moved into the Elven realm of Doriath. Celeborn was kin to King Thingol, and that's how they met. That's also pretty much all that is known about them in this period of history.
Galadriel's relationship with Halbrand, revealed to be Sauron in The Rings of Power's Season 1 finale, was bizarre, to say the least. The two displayed some mild sexual tension throughout the season, causing some Lord of the Rings fans to "ship" the powerful Elf and Dark Lord.
Fans know from the later Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit tales, that Galadriel eventually finds, falls in love with, and marries Celeborn, the elf who accompanies her down the stairs when the fellowship first arrives in Lothlorien.
In The Lord of the Rings, it is said that had Galadriel chosen to use her powers for evil instead of good, she would have been even more destructive and terrifying than Sauron himself. Galadriel was the greatest and most powerful of all Elves in Middle Earth in the Third Age.
Sauron wants Galadriel to become his queen because she's useful, says Vickers. As he's already shown, Sauron can accomplish his objectives much more quickly when he has a highly regarded Elf warrior to get him into places like Numenor and Eregion (where Celebrimbor lives). “He feels a connection to her.
Galadriel turns down a chance to return to the Undying Lands of Valinor due to her desire to return to Middle-earth, avenge her brother and defeat the enemy. In a cruel twist of fate it was Sauron himself who became her chief companion - and maybe even love interest - in the form of Halbrand.

Galadriel's brother is named Finrod (Will Fletcher), and he actually plays a remarkably important role in a number of the most significant stories of the First Age in Tolkien's The Silmarillion.
Amroth was briefly the son of Galadriel and Celeborn, brother of Celebrían. In this version, he lived in Eregion and fled with Galadriel and Celebrían between TA 1350 and TA 1400. He was called as Ammalas in earlier writings, and was the lover of Inglorel (Nimrodel).
Elrond married Celebrían, daughter of Celeborn and Galadriel, early in the Third Age.
She appears in the novel The Lord of the Rings. Arwen is one of the half-elven who lived during the Third Age; her father was Elrond half-elven, lord of the Elvish sanctuary of Rivendell, while her mother was the Elf Celebrian, daughter of the Elf-queen Galadriel, ruler of Lothlórien.
For those that haven't read Tolkien's work, it's easy to see why many audiences suspect Gandalf and Galadriel are in love. After all, many of their interactions in The Hobbit trilogy practically scream romance.
Who is Legolas? Legolas is a Sindarin Elf from the Woodland Realm of Northern Mirkwood. His father, Thranduil, is the King of the Silvan Elves living in that realm, making Legolas the Prince of Mirkwood.

Galadriel took part in councils and was counted by Sauron as his chief adversary, but she never rode out in battle. During the Third Age, Elrond ruled Rivendell with the aid of his Ring Vilya, and Galadriel ruled Lothlórien with the aid of her ring Nenya.
Sauron Feared Galadriel
Tolkien also stated that Sauron saw Galadriel as his equal, and therefore, in his rise to power he feared that she would go after that power herself. As we saw in The Fellowship of the Ring, Galadriel told Frodo that the One Ring would consume her and turn her into a Dark Queen.
She already feels an outcast after Gil-galad tried to send her back to the Undying Lands, and she fears that if she reveals what she has done, it will be the final nail in the coffin. Instead, when Elrond pulls her from the river Glanduin, and she races back inside to Celebrimbor's forge, she chooses to stay silent.
But when it becomes clear to Galadriel that Halbrand/Sauron cannot tell the difference between “saving” and “ruling” Middle-earth, she rejects his proposal.
Galadriel was arrogant and rebellious in her younger years, but she later founded and ruled the kingdom of Lothlórien. She grew to be one of the most powerful Elves in Tolkien's universe thanks to the wisdom she gained throughout her long life.
Regardless, Glorfindel remains one of the strongest characters in The Lord of the Rings, with powers similar to that of the Maiar after being, essentially, brought back from the dead to aid in the Third Age and the War of the Rings.
Thus, Galadriel's dark form in Jackson's The Lord of the Rings personified what would have occurred had the Lady of Lothlorien given in to temptation and taken the One Ring for herself. She would have succumbed to evil because the Ring was indomitable, even with her power.
