Clarissa is shy with newcomers and is scared of what other people will say, or how they will react to her and her disfigured face. She is very bold and doesn't seem to overly care about consequences. Like when she let a man die to save Colin's life, or killed
Clarissa was a recurring character in the first season and a guest character in the second season of Reign. She was portrayed by Katie Boland. She was a strange and almost feral young woman who hides in the shadows.
Catherine has now returned to French Court, and was recently released from prison. She reconciled with her son Francis before he died. Catherine banished Don Carlos from the French court for trying to entrap Mary into marriage, then kill her.
After years of unrest, Mary's life came to an end as Elizabeth had her beheaded, leaving Mary to reunite with Francis in the afterlife.
Clarissa sees herself as Mary's protector, and Mary seemed to reciprocate her protectiveness, but to a lesser degree.
Robert Lovelace: The villain of the story and pursuer of Clarissa. Mr. Lovelace is seen as a vile and selfish character who refuses to stop lusting after Clarissa until he gets what he wants.
In the beginning of season one Clarissa aided Mary. In the first episode “Pilot” she warned Mary not to drink the poisoned wine. She also helped Mary mark a path to the stables to escape the castle when they were being held hostage. Clarissa also saved Mary from drowning after Catherine poisoned her.
Despite grieving her boyfriend's death, Lola continues being a loyal friend to Mary. She gives her council about Sebastian, Francis,, and even blackmails Queen Catherine into leaving her and Bash alone. Lola sleeps with Francis, betraying Mary.
Francis is only in love with Mary. He only slept with Lola because he had a broken heart because of Mary's decision to end their engagement. Lola gave birth to Francis's son, Jean-Philippe.

He realized that Clarissa was the firstborn and not Francis, he eventually tells Catherine of this. Catherine informs Francis and Mary which causes Mary to choose Francis over Bash as her love for him is stronger and it always been him. The two eventually wed and started to try to have a child.
Lola's spunk earned her the interest of a powerful noble, Stéphane Narcisse, whom she later married and thus became a member of the House of Narcisse. In order to save her queen, Lola made a choice that proved to be her undoing.
Lady Kenna tries to befriend Princess Claude but is rebuffed, because Princess Claude wants Bash for herself. Queen Catherine sees the spirits of her two daughters, Princess Henriette and Princess Emone, who threaten to hurt their elder sister.
Simon Westbrook is a minor character in the first season of Reign. He is portrayed by Luke Roberts. He is a handsome and quietly menacing English diplomat. Simon is the representative of Scotland's greatest enemy and "is brilliant and ruthless" in his efforts to destroy Mary Stuart's place in the royal court.
The Darkness was a recurring character in the first season of Reign. He was portrayed by Ron Kennell. He was a man who fed off of humans. The Darkness was later killed by Nostradamus and Bash, triggering the Plague.
However, her husband's power-grabbing nature soon resurfaced and drove Lola away from him, all the way to English court. Lola found an unforeseen friend in Queen Elizabeth for a while, until she betrayed Elizabeth on what she thought was an order from her Queen. Lady Lola was thereafter beheaded for treason.
She had been engaged to Prince Francis since they were children to forge an alliance between Scotland and France. When she was sixteen, Mary returned to court and there, she and Francis fell in love. A year later, when her husband became the King of France, Mary became Queen Consort of France.
Notes. Lady Lola and Prince Francis slept together believing they would never see each other again. Prince Francis married Queen Mary. Lola discovered that she was pregnant with Francis' child after their one night together in Paris.
After 19 years of imprisonment, Mary, Queen of Scots is beheaded at Fotheringhay Castle in England for her complicity in a plot to murder Queen Elizabeth I.
John Philip is the illegitimate son born to his father, King Francis, and his mother, Lady Lola. He has been given lands and titles, including Baron of Velay. He lost his father to a gang of Scottish assassins and his mother was decapitated not long after, making him an orphan. He is now being raised at French court.

This is because, “Reign” hasn't been doing so well in terms of ratings. The Season 3 final drew only a 0.3 rating, according to a report by Zap2It.
