Albus Potter was placed in Slytherin House because he wanted to be with Scorpius Malfoy, his first friend in the Hogwarts Express. Also, the Sorting Hat saw that he would do good in Slytherin, like it did to Harry, but the change is that he wanted to be in Slytherin, so he was put in Slytherin, unlike his father.
Albus ended up in Slytherin because he couldn't stop thinking about ending up in Slytherin, and so the Sorting Hat couldn't grasp anything other than his thoughts about being in Slytherin.
' By his fourth year, Albus has got bigger plans than politely asking the Sorting Hat to take his choice into account. Using his full Slytherin cunning, he manages to get himself and Scorpius off of the Hogwarts Express, and into St Oswald's – no mean feat – and join forces with the alluring Delphi.
Slytherin: Strong-Leader
One trait that is associated with Slytherin house is strong leadership. There is no denying that this is a trait that Dumbledore possesses. He shows excellent leadership through his position as headmaster at Hogwarts.
He attended Hogwarts for the first time with his cousin Rose Granger-Weasley but unlike Rose, Albus wasn't sorted into Gryffindor, much to his shock and fellow Hogwarts students. The Sorting Hat actually chose Slytherin where he joined Draco Malfoy's son, Scorpius.

The pair were parted when the Sorting Hat placed Severus in Slytherin and Lily in Gryffindor, and while Lily thrived in her new, magical life, Snape was essentially placed in close quarters with the likes of Lucius Malfoy, Avery and Mulciber.
Harry Potter came very close to being sorted into Slytherin before he persuaded the Hat to sort him into Gryffindor. Yet the spectre of Slytherin haunted him for some time afterwards, becoming particularly potent in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, when he was rumoured to be the heir of Slytherin.
Harry would have been internally conflicted if he had been Sorted into Slytherin. Although he still would have felt that Hogwarts was the only place he had ever belonged, he might have felt wary forming relationships with the children of Death Eaters.
Severus Snape, Horace Slughorn, Andromeda Tonks, Narcissa Malfoy and Regulus Black were all Slytherin heroes in their own way, if you think about it. And Merlin – as in, yes, King Arthur's advisor and the most famous wizard in history – was a Slytherin.
In the Chamber itself, we see a large statue of a wizard, which Harry presumes is Salazar Slytherin. We also meet Tom Riddle, who is, as it turns out, the heir of Slytherin. Present only in spirit, he has all the same been controlling Ginny, and having her act as Slytherin's heir.
Her real parents were Daneel and Dean Novak, Pureblooded wizards. Turns out Daneel was Tom Riddles younger sister, Daneel Riddle. Of course, the Riddles were related to Salzar Slytherin himself, and this made Hermione the living heir of Slytherin. The problem with being a female Slytherin heir, is that they're cursed.

Through his mother's family, he is the last descendant of the wizard Salazar Slytherin, one of the four founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Unfortunately, Slytherin has constantly been associated with evil witches and wizards. Most of this negativity surrounding Slytherin came because of the rise of Lord Voldemort and his followers, the Death Eaters.
Hufflepuffs are the only ones patient enough to really get to know someone without any judgment. Since Slytherins are often on edge, they truly appreciate the safe space that Hufflepuffs create. They ground Slytherins and keep their heads in the right place.
And this is why Hermione does not fit into Ravenclaw, since she lacks their creativity of thought. When you also add in her fearlessness and her strong convictions about right and wrong, which are inherently Gryffindor traits, then there was even less of a chance she'd end up wearing blue and bronze.
If Harry had been put in Slytherin, Snape, as the head of house would see him more and find more reasons to hate him and make his life miserable.
He actually asked the Sorting Hat to place him in Hufflepuff, as he was intimidated by Gryffindor's reputation for bravery, but the Sorting Hat didn't agree. They debated it for so long, that he was close to being what is known as a Hatstall, which is a term for any student whose Sorting takes longer than five minutes.
