Reasons Why the Facebook Marketplace Icon Is Missing
You're under 18. Facebook Marketplace is only available to Facebook users who are 18 years old or over. Your home region isn't supported. Facebook Marketplace is only available in 50 countries including the United States, Canada, and Australia.
In the search bar, type "unban from marketplace" and press enter. Click on the relevant search result that appears. Click on the "Send Feedback" button. In the "Tell us more" field, explain why you think you were banned and why you believe the ban should be lifted.
Temporary Blocking
Your account may be temporarily blocked if you violate Facebook's Community Standards or Terms of Service. This suspension usually lasts for a maximum of 30 days, during which you will not be able to access your account. After the ban, you may be able to regain access to your account.
To access Facebook Marketplace, you must: Be at least 18 years old. Have a Facebook account in good standing that is at least 30 days old. Live in a country where Facebook Marketplace is available.
Starting on January 30, 2023, Meta will no longer support the ability for all sellers to create vehicle and real estate/rentals listings using a Facebook business Page, along with the vehicles tab and manage inventory tab in markets where this feature is currently available.

As long as you didn't violate Facebook's community policies, you can easily submit an appeal to recover your disabled account. Once you provide your name, proof of identity, and an explanation through the form, Facebook will decide whether they'll restore your account.

The length of a temporary block by Facebook depends on the severity of the violation and the user's history on Facebook. It has been observed that a temporary block may last as little as a few hours, but could also last up to 30 days.
Eight strikes: You'll get a 3-day restriction from creating content. Nine strikes: You'll get a 7-day restriction from creating content. Ten or more strikes: You'll get a 30-day restriction from creating content.
First, go to their profile and check out the posts you can see. If you see only Public posts, that's one of the first signs that the person has restricted you.
For individual sellers.
If you already have an active Facebook account, simply go to the left-hand side of your Facebook newsfeed and click on the FB Marketplace tab. From there, click on the "Create new listing" tab. Once you add a product photo, title, price and product description, you're set and ready to sell.
Purchase Protection only applies when you purchase an item with delivery or checkout on Facebook. This means that items purchased with local pick-up or with a peer-to-peer payment method (e.g. PayPal, payments in Messenger, Venmo) aren't covered.

Don't share your financial information (example: PayPal login and password, bank account info) or unnecessary personal information with buyers or sellers. Don't respond to messages or emails that ask you to provide verification codes or account information, such as your email address and password.
Facebook Marketplace scam red flags
Low prices for what should be high-ticket items. Refusing to meet up in person for exchanges. Moving conversations outside of Facebook Messenger. Asking for payment in the form of a gift card.
Don't share personal information like your home address. Create a meeting plan and share it with a trusted friend or family member. You can tap Send plan in Messenger to send your meeting plan to someone in your Facebook Friends list so they know the location, time and date of when you're planning to meet.
