Why are my funds inaccessible or on hold? PayPal may place a hold or restrict your account activity if we need a little more information from you about a transaction, your business or your account activity.
Sometimes, PayPal will put funds on hold for up to 21 days to ensure there is enough money in your account should any issues arise with the order.
If you sold a service or digital product:
Your funds could be released 7 days after your status is updated, depending on your sales activity. otherwise, they'll be released in up on to 21 days after the hold was placed.
Go to your Activity. Find the purchase you want to update and click Get your money. If you sold a product, choose “Product” to add tracking information or print a shipping label. If you sold an intangible item or service, choose “Service or virtual product” to update the order status.
If you're a relatively new PayPal user, then they'll often hold funds for a while (especially if they're from an eBay sale and/or are considerable) until they satisfy themselves that you're not a scammer or a money launderer. And before you ask, yes, they're allowed to do this.

Claiming Payment
If your PayPal account is set up where you have to manually claim each payment, once notified of payment you'll need to head to PayPal to accept the payment: Log into PayPal. Go to Summary. Under 'Pending', next to the message showing the recipient 'hasn't accepted yet', click Approve.
