Initially an ally to the main characters, events take a toll on Faith's sanity and she slips into a villainous role. Later storylines show her feeling remorse for her past crimes, and with the benevolent vampire Angel's help she eventually rejoins the side of good in the hopes of achieving redemption.

Faith brings up some sensitive subjects (good Angel, bad Angel), and Buffy snaps, punching Faith in the face. It's not the first time the two have come to blows, but this isn't about Buffy trying to save her boyfriend, it's about letting Faith get the better of her.

Faith Lehane — Some weeks after his relationship with Cordelia dissolved, Xander found himself helping Faith fight a demon one night. After the battle, an adrenaline-fueled Faith took Xander back to her apartment and had sex with him; this was Xander's first sexual encounter.

Eliza Dushku, when asked, has mentioned that she believes that Faith was in love with Buffy, or at least had a crush on her.
Kakistos leads an attack on the pair. Mr. Trick leaves the fight halfway through, while Faith and Buffy kill Kakistos. In the library later, Buffy reveals to Willow and Giles that Angel's soul was restored just before she had to kill him. Faith stays in Sunnydale.
Later, in Angel's perfect-day dream sequence, Angel and Cordelia consummated their relationship, but Angel called out "Buffy!" as he lost his soul, just as he did in Sunnydale years earlier.
It means we will give the Lord and His Church the benefit of our doubts or unanswered questions. The choice to be believing at this level is very different from mere blind obedience. It is, rather, a knowing and loving kind of obedience.
Angel/Angelus
Angel lost his soul twice: first, when he slept with Buffy Summers, and again, due to a spell.
The Mother and Child are a pair of possessed humans found hiding in an abortion clinic. They are a minor antagonist and secret boss in FAITH: Chapter III that's required to be banished to get the "A New Journey" Ending.

Anya felt great excitement about her wedding, while Xander's self-conscious doubts caused him to leave her at the altar. This devastated Anya and led to her reverting back to working as a vengeance demon.
