Hagrid has to deal with terrible wizarding prejudice because of his giant blood. But, instead of letting it make him bitter and withdrawn, he decides to go back out in the world.
Hagrid vs Tom Riddle
However, this happy outcome doesn't make the circumstances that led to it any less unfair. Hagrid was expelled in his third year after he was accused by Tom Riddle of opening the Chamber of Secrets, which led to the death of Moaning Myrtle.
After Hagrid was accused of opening the Chamber of Secrets, he was expelled and forbidden to do magic.
"Hagrid is one of Voldemort's oldest associates, and knows his true identity" In Chamber of Secrets, it is revealed that Hagrid had been a student at Hogwarts during the same period that Tom Riddle (the true identity of Lord Voldemort) also frequented the school.
Finally, Hagrid comes back from his mysterious trip. He is bruised and bloodied, but basically fine. Hagrid tells Harry, Ron, and Hermione what he has been doing: he has been on a mission from Professor Dumbledore to meet with the giants living in Europe.
In “The Deathly Hallows,” Hagrid is supposedly brought to Voldemort's headquarters directly by deadly acromantulas. As a member of the Order, Hagrid would be tortured by Voldemort for information under reasonable circumstances. At the very least, he would face attack and insults from the rest of the Death Eaters.
Moaning Myrtle
Born in the late 1920s to Muggle parents, Myrtle Warren started her Hogwarts life in the early 1940s, where she was sorted into Ravenclaw.
Voldemort intentionally made six Horcruxes, but when he used Avada Kedavra on Harry, he unintentionally created a seventh Horcrux. Instead of dying, Lily's love for Harry created a counter 'curse' known as Sacrificial Protection and saved Harry.
One fan has posited the idea that Hagrid was in fact a powerful dark wizard and Death Eater who served as a double agent for Voldemort. Yes, really. While it seems a completely outlandish idea (and even the Redditor who suggested it has said JK Rowling would not have intended it), the evidence is compelling.
Dumbledore was the first wizard to visit Voldemort, then Tom Riddle, at his Muggle orphanage. He knew even then this was a wizard to watch – and he did, closely. When Riddle applied for the Defence Against the Dark Arts post for the second time, Dumbledore turned him down.
Robbie Coltrane, Hagrid of 'Harry Potter', died due to multiple organ failure. Robbie Coltrane, popular for featuring in film franchises like 'Harry Potter' and 'James Bond', died on October 14 at the age of 72.
As an unqualified wizard who didn't finish his education, Hagrid was not technically allowed to perform magic.
He gets caught up in a swarm of spiders retreating to the Forbidden Forest, which must be where the Death Eaters grab him. Capturing him so he'll be there to carry Harry Potter's dead body back to the castle—that's some planning!
Harry describes Umbridge to Sirius Black, saying that she's vile enough to be a Death Eater, despite not being one. Umbridge is also depicted to be a prejudiced person, despising half-breeds and Muggle-born witches and wizards to the point of firing Hagrid due to his half-giant birth status.
Whilst attempting to protect Hagrid from being sacked by Umbridge, McGonagall was attacked by Umbridge's Aurors and was sent to St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.
Grawp is the giant half-brother of Hagrid. Grawp and Hagrid were born of the same mother, the giantess Fridwulfa. Grawp is about 16 feet (4.9 m) tall, which Hagrid claims is small for a giant.
Peter Pettigrew (a.k.a. Wormtail) is the only Death Eater known to have been in a House other than Slytherin (Gryffindor) while at Hogwarts. There, he was a close friend of Sirius Black, James Potter, and Remus Lupin, although he was the least intelligent and least talented of the group.
So in the course of The Chamber of Secrets, we learn that Hagrid was framed by a young Tom Riddle for opening the Chamber, resulting in Hagrid's expulsion and subsequent keeping on as groundskeeper. Some 50-odd years later, Tom (now Voldemort) attacks Hogwarts and takes Hagrid captive.
Draco Malfoy's mother Narcissa was cold, cunning and devoted to the Dark Lord. But she was also a mother, which meant she was willing to risk everything to make sure her son was safe. When Harry survived Voldemort's Killing Curse for the second time, Narcissa pretended he was dead so she could get to Draco.
Though Harry encountered many opportunities that deemed Avada Kedavra necessary, it remains as one of the Unforgivable Curses Harry Potter never cast. For one, he viewed the spell as an immoral practice commonly used by users of the Dark Arts.
Voldemort wanted to humiliate Dumbledore, not kill him directly. Plus the story wouldn't allow it, the book would have been over so quickly. Voldemort was a dark lord that could have also been killed MANY times with the killing curse, but what story would there be if that happened?
Barty eventually began attending Hogwarts, where he was sorted into Ravenclaw.
1 Rowena Ravenclaw
As one of the most famous Ravenclaws, Rowena built her house on the ideals she valued and embodied — intelligence and creativity.
Riddle ultimately changed his name, by way of an anagram, from "Tom Marvolo Riddle" to "I am Lord Voldemort", as a way of removing his own heritage and of exalting himself, and he killed the Riddle family, partly because they were Muggles, and partly because they abandoned him and his mother.
