Avatar is rated PG-13 by the MPAA for intense epic battle sequences and warfare, sensuality, language and some smoking. Members of the Na'vi tribe wear traditional clothing similar to what would be seen in a documentary film about some indigenous groups.
Avatar has a run time of 2 hours and 41 minutes, so most kids will not want to sit through the film. In Avatar you can expect to see intense violent scenes, some sensuality, smoking and alcohol use, and profanity used by some of the characters. To sum it up, Avatar is not kid-friendly for kids under 10 years old.

The movie is so beautiful, in terms of exploring bigotry and racism and hatred of others because of the way they look that it's a shame it was so filled with curses and violence. I would say, particularly if you are a careful parent, to wait til your kids are a little older to enjoy the film.
If your family is ok with war-like violence (guns, arrows, explosions) and your 8-year-old has seen similar movies (Marvel, Star Wars, etc), then Avatar 2 will be ok for them as well.
The deaths come from guns, arrows, missiles, crushings, stabbings, being thrown from aircraft, and impalements, and the final battle scene is extremely emotional. Depending on how your child handles action movies and animal deaths, Avatar may be too scary for kids under 13.
'Goddamn' is said at least eight times. 'Hell' is said six times. 'Ass' is said four times. 'Damn' is said four times.

Swear words and profanity are NUMEROUS throughout Avatar: The Way of Water, including one “f-bomb,” countless uses of “b! tch,” “sh!t,” d@mn” and “d@mmit”, “@ss,” “b@stards,” “crap,” “H-E-double-hockey-sticks,” “sucks,” and 2 middle finger gestures. Oh, wait, but that's not all!
Profanity: There are twelve scatological curses, one sexual expletive, and occasional uses of mild curses and terms of deity. Alcohol / Drug Use: None.
This movie, while very good, is not appropriate as a family movie, certainly not for 12 year olds as indicated. Maybe that's the reason kids say such bad words and act inappropriately with the opposite sex at such young ages anymore, because too many parents let their kids watch movies like this and think it's OK.
Fly Above Pandora on the Avatar Flight of Passage Ride
Your kids will need to be at least 44 inches to ride (about the height of the average 5-6 year old). The diving and fast-paced simulation may be too intense for kids – use caution when taking them on this ride.

The Last Airbender is based on an animated television series. It is an action adventure targeting younger children, but with scenes and images that might disturb children under 10.
As long as you're OK with the show's level of action, it's a fine pick for grade-schoolers.
Avatar 2 is perfectly enjoyable without the context of the first film, and there are clearly, as you can see above, some questions you might have that even the first film doesn't answer.
South Park is returning for its 26th season, and in 1999 the South Park movie is on top of the list of having the most swear words of any animated film.
The world record for the most swear words in a television programme is 201 in episode 1 of Strutter, produced by Objective Productions and aired on MTV on 9 November 2006.

Titanic is rated PG-13 by the MPAA for disaster related peril and violence, nudity, sensuality and brief language.
If this show is not appropriate for a grown woman, it's definitely not appropriate for kids. Please rate it PG-13, or AT LEAST add a trigger warning.
The 12A requires an adult to accompany any child under 12 seeing a 12A film at the cinema. This is enforced by cinema staff and a cinema may lose its license if adult accompaniment is not enforced for children under 12 admitted to a 12A film.
