Powers. The Force: As the son of the Chosen One, Anakin Skywalker, he was immensely powerful and had a amazingly strong connection to the Force, stronger than most Force users alive. Like his father, Luke possessed a powerful connection to the Force.

Legends Luke is ridiculously, hilariously powerful. He could insta kill enemies with Force Lightning, solo entire armies with his Force Push, defeated a dark side goddess, beat Reborn Palpatine who could destroy entire fleets with his Force Powers, and could hold black holes in his hand. Yeah.

Darth Revan
Many have described him as being the most powerful Force User of all time, making him superior to even Luke Skywalker and Yoda. Darth Revan had the ability to wield the powers of both the light side and dark side of the Force.
The light side is said to be stronger than the dark, but Palpatine's connection to the Force appears to have grown far stronger in Return of the Jedi. So while Luke may have bested him in terms of athletics, Palpatine's Force-powers could very likely give him the victory.
Darth Revan – Jedi/Sith
Revan is one of the most powerful Force users in the entire continuity of Star Wars. His powers were so strong that he could pull a Star Destroyer out of the sky.
His only goal was to make Luke mad, and he definitely accomplished that task. Thus, Vader didn't technically lose. He did exactly what he set out to do.
Anakin, for sure. He was twice as powerful as Luke was at his age as he was trained properly in the use of the Force and in lightsaber combat. Luke had no style really, pretty much blindly slashing the lightsaber around when he was younger. Anakin really WAS the chosen one.
In Star Wars Legends and Canon, Galen Marek (Starkiller) is the only Jedi (other than Obi-Wan Kenobi) to put a beat down on Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker.
Sith Luke would have more special powers, since beyond being a meme, the Dark Side Is in fact a path to abilities some consider unnatural. The Dark Side has a lot of magics and alchemy that the Jedi don't have access to. As to attunement with the Force, Jedi Luke would be more powerful.
Yoda. Yoda was a wise, experienced, and powerful Grand Master of the Jedi of an unknown species and the oldest known prophet in existence (having lived at least 900 years), considered the wisest and most powerful Jedi Master within the Star Wars universe.

One of Luke's greatest weaknesses is his emotion, but more specifically, his temper. Luke has a bad habit of relying too heavily on his feelings, which means that when he gets mad, he isn't always able to think rationally.
As much as fans would probably want to see Luke win this matchup, it is pretty unlikely. Luke is strong with the force, something Maul struggles with. He is so focused on his hatred that his Force sensitivity evades him. But when it comes to lightsaber combat, Maul is the definite winner.

The Jedi however also have three outliers in that of Luke, Leia, and Cade Skywalker (23000/23000/21000 midi-chlorians respectively) all of which were children/descendants of Anakin Skywalker (the chosen one) and so genetically predisposed to having abnormally-high midi-chlorian counts for Jedi.

After dueling his former apprentice on Mustafar, Obi-Wan Kenobi took Anakin's lightsaber and kept it on Tatooine for nearly two decades. As teased in Empire Strikes Back, Yoda never thought that Luke Skywalker had it in him to be the true chosen on.
At the end of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Rey visited Luke's childhood home on Tatooine. While on the planet, when someone asked her who she was, Rey responded by saying that she was "Rey Skywalker." Although she wasn't related to them, both Luke and Leia had been mentors to Rey throughout the sequel trilogy.
