Although some fans may be surprised to learn Venom being purple was considered, it's actually not a new idea. The Ultimate Comics version of Venom was purple instead of black. To date, it's the only Venom incarnation with the purple color scheme.
One interesting tidbit is Venom was originally purple before switching to the all-black look seen in the film. As noted by WilliamD1123, a Venom action figure based on the film was purple, because that was the original color scheme for the villain before the change.
Agony is largely dark purple with dark pink mix symbiote, it grants its host with claws, a blade along the fur end of the forearms, fangs and fairly long prehensile hairs, as well as manipulate its body into various form.
At the very least, a red symbiote is naturally stronger than a black symbiote. What this means for symbiotes who sport a green, purple, or even yellow color is up in the air for now at least.
The symbiote can also change color. In the comics, we see it repeatedly manifest a white spider symbol. To reproduce, Venom detaches a portion of itself and has that portion grow into a new organism.
In addition, Venom has come out on top as the victor in many battles with Symbiotes like Carnage, Hybrid, and Scream (all of which are arguably more powerful than he is).
Why is black Venom afraid of red Venom? It could be that in the universe of the Venom movies, this type of strong bond is already known among the symbiotes to result in stronger specimens. This could explain why Venom is so fearful of facing an enemy with a ruddy hue.
In the trailer, the Venom symbiote expressed reluctance about fighting him after noticing that Carnage is a “red one,” which suggests that red symbiotes are naturally more powerful than all other members of his species.
Marvel Comics' new version of Venom has become the most powerful symbiote ever. Dylan Brock, the son of the original Venom host, Eddie, has unlocked a new power that allows him to sever a symbiote's connection to the hive mind, which makes him a threat even for the all-powerful Kings in Black.
During the fight, Mulligan is apparently killed by Barrison, but absorbs a piece of one of the symbiotes, which later revives him and causes his eyes to glow blue.
Venom has always held the distinction of being Marvel's scariest symbiote, but Carnage was never far behind him, and it seems Carnage might have finally passed Eddie Brock.
They rapidly age the symbiotes and pair them to people: Scream (yellow, female), Agony (pink, female), Lasher (green, male), Riot (grey, male) and Phage (orange, male).
Carnage. Perhaps the Marvel Universe's deadliest symbiote, Carnage debuted in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (1963) #345. Shortly after spawning from Venom, the Carnage symbiote bonded to a serial killer named Cletus Kasady.
Blue Symbiote (2) (Agony): In the comics Agony was one of the symbiotes forcibly spawned from Venom alongside several others by the Life Foundation.
Brock is enveloped in a new white “Anti-Venom” symbiote when remnants of the Venom symbiote in his body merge with special antibodies (produced by his white blood cells) due to Li's Lightforce energy.
Maker casually refers to the green saliva as the symbiote's waste product, which catches Eddie by surprise. Of course, the result is an entertaining exchange where Maker gets to explain that Venom's green saliva is actually how the symbiote excretes the foreign matter that enters the body.
Venom has bonded with everyone from Deadpool to Captain Marvel, but the symbiote's most powerful host was inarguably the Void.
Carnage is Venom's offspring. That is why Carnage often calls him “Pops” or the like. Like a previous poster stated Venom feels responsible for Carnage and Carnage hates his “dad”.
Venom felt like an inferior symbiote and needed a host who he could make themselves into better beings. Carnage is the opposite due to the criminal insanity of his host and Venom probably fears that part of him that he tried to control in Brock.

Symbiotes can absorb the codices of other symbiotes to become more powerful, temporarily acquiring their traits and whatever unique powers the codex's host may have possessed.
Who would win in a fight between carnage and riot? Carnage does have more abilities, but was like a rampaging kid and Venom ate it to kill it. Riot was cunning, and was even able to rip Venom from Brock and would have eaten him if Brock didn't rebond with it.
In nearly every iteration of Carnage's character, he is the offspring of Venom. The Klyntar, the race of aliens that the symbiotes belong to, reproduce asexually and can transmit their offspring to other hosts.
Feeling shunned, the symbiote bonds with Eddie Brock, as the pair become Venom through their shared hatred of both Peter Parker and Spider-Man. In simple terms, Venom hates Spider-man because Peter Parker rejects the Symbiote.
Carnage barely put up a fight. Pieces of the symbiote were on him, but he didn't fully transform or try to defend himself. Venom simply pulled the symbiote off of him and ate it, becoming stronger.
