Hermione isn't creative enough to enjoy or appreciate Divination as a discipline, whereas a Ravenclaw might be more open-minded. Hermione values bravery and friendship over books and cleverness. While Hermione is known as the smartest witch of her age, her intelligence isn't what she values the most.
And this is why Hermione does not fit into Ravenclaw, since she lacks their creativity of thought. When you also add in her fearlessness and her strong convictions about right and wrong, which are inherently Gryffindor traits, then there was even less of a chance she'd end up wearing blue and bronze.

He would have been more than welcome in Ravenclaw house. He was sorted into Slytherin because his mother was sorted there, and we all know the sorting hat takes your opinion into account. As a half blood, he was only exposed to the death eaters, and blood status seniority because he was in Slytherin house.
Turns out resident Gryffindor Ronald Weasley was actually meant to join the likes of Hannah Abbott and Cedric Diggory (RIP) and be in Hufflepuff house.

She was sorted into Slytherin House at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and hated her time at the school due to never being given any positions of power. After her time at Hogwarts, Umbridge rose to prominent and influential positions in the Ministry of Magic in the Improper Use of Magic Office.
Poor Harry certainly had his fair share of it over the years, and no one inspired more survivor's guilt in him than Hufflepuff Cedric Diggory. We pose that Cedric's death is the main reason Harry never wanted to visit Hufflepuff.
The only quality she shares with Salazar Slytherin is being a dark wizard. Bellatrix actually belongs in Hufflepuff. She is fiercely loyal to Voldemort, standing by his side the entire time. She also waited for his return while stuck in Azkaban with the patience only a Hufflepuff could have.
