He viewed military service as an honor, and his loyalty to the
Fives's death led him to uncover his inhibitor chip, which enabled him and his longtime friend Ahsoka to escape Order 66 after the Siege of Mandalore. After living on Seelos with fellow Clone Commanders Gregor and Wolffe, Rex joined the Phoenix Cell and reunited with his old friend Tano.
Rex did obey the Order but his reaction was delayed due to his closeness to Ahsoka. Rex still would have killed her if she and the droids hadn't literally incapacitated him and removed the inhibitor chip. When it was clear that he wasn't following the order, he was marked for termination by the rest of his squad.
Some clones disobeyed the infamous order than decimated the Jedi order, and refused to execute it. SOME of these Clones include; Captain Rex: Captain Rex, as most know removed his chip that would later be the way that Palpatine would execute order 66. Wolffe: As with Captain Rex Wolffe removed his bio chip.
Obi-Wan Kenobi
During a mission to capture General Grievous, Obi-Wan agreed with Cody that Rex is a smart man and believes that he always thinks on his feet. Rex apparently never saw Obi-Wan again after Order 66, as he believed Bail Organa's words that Obi-Wan had perished.
As far as you know, Anakin Skywalker and Captain Rex were very close friends during the Clone Wars. But before the battle for Coruscant, they had to split up and Rex went with Ahsoka to Mandalore, and Anakin went to Coruscant. After that, Anakin and Rex never saw each other again.
Rex and Ahsoka are very close friends, having met each other at the battle of Christophsis after she was assigned as Anakin's apprentice. He took an immediate liking towards her and later congratulated her when she helped Anakin destroy the Separatists' shield generator.
Order 67 was an order requiring clone troopers to dance. During the Battle of Utapau, Darth Sidious accidentally issued Order 67 when he meant to use Order 66. Just after the order was executed, Cody and his troops began dancing. However, Sidious browsed a manual and executed Order 66.
Since he removed his control implant, Wolffe was no longer able to be forced into complying with Order 66. Following the Clone Wars, Wolffe and his two comrades Rex and Gregor settled on Seelos and lived in a vintage AT-TE walker.
Despite Cody's friendship with Obi-Wan, he didn't hesitate when he received Order 66 from Supreme Chancellor Palpatine at the end of the Clone Wars. Obeying the Republic's commander-in-chief, Cody gave the order to fire on his Jedi General, then sent troops to see if he'd been killed.
A short time after the execution of Order 66, Palpatine would announce that he was reorganizing the Republic into the Galactic Empire, which he would rule as Emperor. Now serving the Empire, the members of the 501st took the designation of stormtrooper, as well as new armor, weapons, and ships.
Rex. While the Clone Captain Rex didn't learn the full scope and intention of Order 66 before it was executed, he did heed Fives' warnings about the control chips after the latter's death.
With the release of Star Wars Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 11 Shattered we finally know that Rex knew about Vader when he mentioned it to Ahsoka as she found out from Maul.
They were often assigned to the same special operations missions, from rescuing a Jedi in an enemy prison to locating a traitor among their own ranks. Cody, though he outranked Rex, trusted in the captain's abilities, and placed him in charge on many occasions.

Koon was shot down in his Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor by clone pilot Jag, perishing as his fighter exploded and crashed.
In the final days of the Clone Wars, Plo led a starfighter squadron against Separatist forces on Cato Neimoidia. When Supreme Chancellor Palpatine issued Order 66, Plo's clone wingmen blasted his fighter out of the sky, killing him instantly.
In 19 BBY, the Clone Wars ended with the reorganization of the Galactic Republic into the Galactic Empire. Gregor however did not carry out Order 66.
Dooku's role in creating the clone army was also revealed, and Yoda experienced a more detailed vision of Order 66 on Dagobah. The fact that Yoda was warned and given plenty of context throughout the Clone Wars makes it clear that the Jedi should have discovered Order 66.
The Sith, an order of users of the dark side of the Force, was formed by fallen members of the Jedi Order after a war called the Hundred-Year Darkness. Eventually, after many wars, the Jedi defeated and seemingly destroyed the Sith in the final, decisive conflict. However, one Sith Lord survived: Darth Bane.
Later, Rex was reunited with his old friend Ahsoka Tano when she returned with news of Maul's location on Mandalore. In an emotional reunion, Rex and his men painted their helmets orange in an homage to their former commander and agreed to follow Ahsoka into battle once more.
Lux Bonteri
However, Ahsoka found it annoying, as she immediately shrugged his crush off her. This changed during their time together, as Ahsoka began developing feelings for Lux, until she and Padme left Raxus, she and Lux said their goodbyes before going their separate ways.
Its influence on his mind is unbreakable, but his attempt to resist it is a result of his awareness. Rex understood what the chips were capable of, so he fought a mental battle over his thought process. Thankfully for him, Ahsoka removed his chip before he could harm or even kill her.
