Thirteen years after acquiring the power of the Titans, Ymir died while thwarting an assassination attempt on Fritz, but then found herself in a mysterious, barren land. King Fritz then forced his daughters to eat their mother's corpse in an attempt to preserve the power of the Titans.
Upon Ymir's death, Fritz forced his daughters to eat their mother's body to preserve her power. Upon his own death, he commanded his daughters to continue reproducing and eating each other, so that Ymir's people will never die out and Eldia could rule the world with its Titans forever.
After Ymir's demise, her daughters Maria, Rose, and Sheena Fritz devoured her corpse and gained her ability to turn into a Titan. As per their father's commands, Ymir's daughters reproduced to expand the bloodline and continue the race of humans who can turn into Titans.
Sheena Fritz (シーナ・フリッツ Shīna Furittsu?) was the youngest daughter of Ymir Fritz the Founder. She would later become the namesake of the innermost wall of Karl Fritz's three Titan Walls, Wall Sheena.
One day, Ymir was accused as a thief and was punished by the king of the Eldians, a man named Fritz, to be hunted like an animal. She ran into the woods with numerous wounds all over her body. When she hid inside a giant tree, she met a spine-like creature, and that was when Ymir turned into a Titan.
The Shining Centipede, or Centipede-kun as it's affectionately known to fans, is the insectoid entity that grants Ymir Fritz the Power of the Titans.
Fritz used Ymir to build bridges and roads and cultivate the wastelands; he also used her power as a weapon of mass destruction against the Marleyans. He further made Ymir his concubine and she bore him three daughters named Maria, Rose, and Sheena.
Because it is impossible for anyone to surpass the Founder, each person who gained the power of the Titans was fated with the "Curse of Ymir" (ユミルの呪い Yumiru no Noroi?), which limited their remaining lifespan to only 13 years after first acquiring it.
To "reward" Ymir for her service, Fritz took her as his concubine and together, they had three children: Maria, Rose, and Sheena. It was speculated that during this time, Ymir grew to genuinely love and care for Fritz despite his behavior and attitude towards her.
Ymir was actually a fraud, as she had no royal blood and she was only a homeless Eldian little girl taken from the streets by the scammer. She inherited the power of the Jaw Titan from the Warrior Marcel Galliard in 845.
The two struggle for some time, but Eren is stunned in place upon recognizing a fighting stance used by Annie. In the moment, Annie incapacitates the Attack Titan and captures Eren. As she flees the forest, Mikasa Ackerman and Captain Levi pursue her and successfully immobilize the Female Titan, rescuing Eren.
The "source of all living matter" (有機物の起源 Yūkibutsu no Kigen?) is the tentative name attributed to the anomaly which granted Ymir Fritz the Power of the Titans almost two thousand years ago. It was the source of both the Power of the Titans and the abilities of the Founding Titan.
After entering the favor of the Eldian King in adolescence and adulthood, Ymir wore a sleeveless dress with thin decorative bands around each arm. Like all slaves of the Eldian tribe, her tongue was cut out when she was captured, though it may have regenerated after acquiring the power of the Titans.
After Ymir's passing, her body was consumed by her daughters in order to preserve her powers and pass it down from generation to generation. The tradition would continue to be done with every child in the royal line eating their mother's blood so that the power of the Titans would not die out.
Eventually, the Founding Titan was inherited by Uri Reiss from his father. Early in his life with the Founder, Uri protected himself from Kenny Ackerman using his Titan, and he would later become a close friend of his would-be assassin.
Eren's Founding Titan looks drastically different from the founder Ymir's titan. While Ymir's titan looked similar to most titans seen throughout Attack on Titan, Eren's titan is large and long. The legs and pelvis are underdeveloped compared to the rest of the body, but they still stand taller than the Wall Titans.
Just as NanaBanana said, Ymir & Historia are NOT RELATED. Ymir isn't at all royal blood, in fact, the man who bought her off the streets when she was a child, made money off of her and made Ymir pretend that she was a goddess & that the blood of the King ran through her.
Ymir needed them because she was only a child who was the victim of terrible abuse. She needed Eren to help her free up all her pent up anger at the world because of what she experienced. She needed someone that understood her and could relate to what she went through.
At the time, Eldians were a primitive tribe that pillaged opposing people, killed their captives, and cut off the tongues of those they left alive. Ymir's parents are killed in the attack, and Ymir herself becomes a slave.
No she isn't, she is actually part of the asian clan (a different race) Which means she can't get injected and turn into a titan. She is. Chapter 123, Eren talks to all Subjects of Ymir through the power of the Founding Titan.
She's makes Eren's wish coming true for reaching her. This is highlighted in chapter 122 where he gave her the option to end it all rather than stay stuck there. She choose Eren and making his wish coming true. As in chapter 123 showed that Eren planning to destroy the world outside the island.
In an interview included in the guidebook Attack on Titan ANSWERS, Hajime Isayama revealed the reason why Rod said he did not inherit the Founding Titan himself: "He thought of himself as just an observer, and in order to preserve the Reiss bloodline, he may have thought that he needed to stay human and make more ...
Trivia. While Eldian mythology depicts Ymir Fritz as a woman who made a deal with the Devil, the ironic reality is that Ymir, a slave, entered into an unwanted arrangement with King Fritz to use her Titan powers to further Eldia's dominance and prosperity.
She transforms into a Titan at 10, spends 8 years or so dominating Eldia's neighboring countries, bears King Fritz's children at 18, then dies at 23 when her own children are around the age of 5.
Ymir's Titan is one of the intelligent Titans and has a high amount of speed and agility. The current possessor of this Power is Ymir, another fellow cadet. She got it from eating Marcel, a friend of Bertholdt, Annie and Reiner's.
