Unfortunately for fans looking to pick up the iconic hammer, neither Kratos nor Atreus can wield the mighty Mjölnir in God of War Ragnarok.

While it is true that the hammer would have been an incredible asset for the player, it cannot be wielded or even picked up by Kratos (nor Atreus) for several reasons.

Throughout the entire game ,it seems that Kratos regretted killing Zeus and for the longest time and I couldn't really understand why. He becomes very solemn, quiet and sometimes defensive whenever he is brought up.

The Watchful Protector skill is considered by most to be the best skill for Atreus. Found in the Instinct section of the skill tree, Watchful Protector simply lets Atreus take some of the agro away from Kratos.
