Do I still go to heaven? THE ANSWER IS YES!!! When Jesus died on the cross, he paid the penalty of sin for all who believe in him.
You enter heaven by forgiveness and through the righteousness that Jesus gives you. You do not enter into heaven by the Christian life. It's always true that where faith is birthed, works will follow, but salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
Galatians 5:20 says, “Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresie.”
The scriptures tell us over and over that sin leads to death and destruction because there are consequences with going against the grain regarding how God designed us to live and obey him. Physically – Sin can cause an internal conflict with God and us, leading to health issues and taking a physical toll on your body.
God set up a system to forgive us here and now, not afterward, and that's the way it is. We honor God's system out of our love and respect for him.
One eternal or unforgivable sin (blasphemy against the Holy Spirit), also known as the sin unto death, is specified in several passages of the Synoptic Gospels, including Mark 3:28–29, Matthew 12:31–32, and Luke 12:10, as well as other New Testament passages including Hebrews 6:4–6, Hebrews 10:26–31, and 1 John 5:16.
The sin that cannot be forgiven is the sin of continuing to reject Jesus Christ and his work. Why is it called “blasphemy against the Holy Spirit?” Because the Spirit came upon Jesus at his baptism, and from that moment on, the ministry of the Holy Spirit is the ministry of Jesus.
The answer is if you practice sin, you WILL NOT go to heaven. You will go to hell to spend an eternity of torment away from God's presence and goodness and glory. “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Confess your sin to God
The first step to finding healing is confessing your sins to God. It's important to remember that when you sin the person with whom you most need to make it right is God. The Bible says “Against you, and you alone, have I sinned; I have done what is evil in your sight.
So, God first laid our sin on Christ; secondly, he then forgave our sin; and thirdly, he cleansed our sin, making us pure and acceptable in his sight. (4) He covered your sin. In Psalm 85:2 we read about how God not only “forgave” the sins of his people but how he “covered all their sin” (see also Psalm 32:1).
The revelation to John supports Matthew 8:11, which says that many will come from every corner of the earth to sit with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The number 144,000 that were sealed or chosen are not pre-chosen. The number 12 itself is symbolic.
God's forgiveness and love are unconditional. He loved us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8) and we cannot earn His love by our good works. We are forgiven based on the perfect work of Jesus Christ. God does, however, require repentance in order to grant forgiveness.
Reformed Churches. Reformed theologian William M'Gavin opined that "the four sins that cry to heaven for vengeance; these are, wilful murder—sin of Sodom—oppression of the poor—to defraud servants of their wages" are greater in gravity than the seven deadly sins.
But they are serious, because unconfessed sin breaks our fellowship with God, which is why we need to admit our sins and seek His forgiveness. He is willing to forgive us and cleanse us because He loves us and wants us to live in His presence every day.
Because of Jesus Christ's infinite Atonement, your guilt can be swept away if you fully repent. But people sometimes still feel flashes of guilt over the memory of their sins even though they've repented. Guilt, or “godly sorrow” (2 Corinthians 7:10), can be helpful.
But Ephesians 2 tells us what lies behind our sin. Why do we sin? The answer is, “We sin because we are sinners.” We are all born with a nature that produces sin.
Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin. This is because God has given him, by the new birth, real, spiritual life, and that life can never become extinct. For the divine seed of loving faith abides in him, and, so long it remains, he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
6. He throws all our sins behind His back (Isa. 38:17). In a metaphorical sense, God puts all our sins behind His back so that He does not see them any more.
If forgiving someone more than once or twice seems unreasonable, just remember how often God forgives you. He doesn't put a limit on how many times you turn to him with your sincere heart, humbly seeking forgiveness. He's just glad you've returned. May we do our best to model our forgiveness after God's example.
You may have felt like your sins are too serious or that you have made the same mistake too many times. But no matter how much we have sinned, we can always repent and be forgiven. Some sins may be easier to correct than others, but Jesus Christ has provided for total forgiveness from all sins. He is eager to forgive.
Whatever blasphemies you utter, they too can be forgiven. In Matthew's gospel, Jesus says that even sins committed against him, the Son of Man, can be forgiven. But “whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin” (v.
