But what is the story behind this new addition to Tanjiro's arsenal? One thing is for sure - the Bright Red Nichirin Sword is the new star of the show, and we can't wait to see what kind of damage it can do in the upcoming battles.
Tanjiro inherits a memory of a powerful swordsman's blade. Three Hantengu forms are unable to recover after getting cut by Tanjiro's flaming red blade. Genya takes on demonic features and beheads Aizetsu.
Moreover, any Nichirin sword can become bright red regardless of the blade's original color. However, the blade can only stay bright red for a certain amount of time before returning to normal.
Why Did Tanjiro's Sword Turn Black? Along with an implied a lack of skill, it is also said that swordsmen with black blades struggle to master a breathing style. Tanjiro utilizes Water Breathing, but unlike Tomioka, his sword isn't blue to reflect the breathing style.
Black. Toho Co., Ltd. Black is the most mysterious color of all the blades, and is held by the main character, Tanjiro. It is a rare blade and represents the sun; it also holds a theory that the demon slayers who own this sword are not to live a long life.
As the battle reached its climax, Tanjiro was able to knock the doll's head off and discovered that the mechanical body contained a mysterious sword. Fans of the manga will recognize this sword as the one carried by Yoriichi Tsugikuni himself.
1. Tanjiro's Black Sword. Of course, the one who takes the top spot in terms of the best swords in Demon Slayer is Tanjiro's black Nichirin blade.
In the case of Tanjiro, the mark used to be just a graze, but during his fight with the Hand Demon during the Final Selection, the mark changed. That life threatening condition altered him and afterwards, it develops into a flame-like pattern and is his new Demon Slayer Mark.
The fuming rage that Tanjiro felt from seeing Daki destroy human lives helped him push past his limits while also making him bleed through his eyes in anger, resulting in his eye colors changing to bloodshot red. Moreover, the fight helped Tanjiro improve as a warrior and showed fans his anger-filled side.
Tanjiro Kamado wields a black Nichirin blade, but the symbolism of such a sword was initially unknown. Black blades are seen as a rarity, as demon slayers who wield them are doomed to die young. No wielder of a black sword has ever become a Hashira, either. However, this is all superstition.
Yet, for some reason, Tanjiro Kamado, the series' protagonist, never becomes a Hashira. Demon Slayer's protagonist Tanjiro Kamado starts out as an ordinary boy but has his entire life turned around after his family massacre. To make matters worse, his only surviving family, Nezuko, is turned into a demon.
What is the Yoriichi Type Zero sword? As a Demon Slayer, Yoriichi Tsugikuni carried a fairly standard Nichirin katana — deep black in color, that changed bright red during combat. This is the sword that appeared out of the neck of the doll at the end of Demon Slayer season three's second episode.
Initially, Tanjiro's accuracy and strength were not up to the mark, which is why Muzan was able to avoid his attacks. However, Tanjiro accurately performed the thirteenth form and inflicted a ton of damage on the Demon King.
When Tanjiro first got his Nichirin Sword on Demon Slayer, and it changed color to match the personality of its user like all Nichirin weapons do, many fans were surprised that Tanjiro's katana turned black.
During Tanjiro and the rest of the Hashiras' showdown with the Demon King Muzan, Tanjiro is mortally wounded and dies. At the same time, Muzan receives a particularly fatal lil' booboo himself. As Muzan is about to shuffle off the mortal coil, he uses the last of his powers to turn Tanjiro into a demon.
Tanjiro certainly did a lot of good with his Water Breathing techniques, but his ability to use Sun Breathing both gives him an edge in battle and allows him to stand out among the incredibly powerful Hashira he fights alongside.
To become a member of the Demon Slayer Corps, he had to clear the Final Selection. During this event, Tanjiro received a massive blow to his head from the Hand Demon that killed many of Urokodaki's students. This increased the size of his scar and changed the color as well.
Tanjirou, Sanemi and Giyuu probably all died by age 25. This has nothing to do with the eradication of demons. This mark is separate from the curse placed on the Ubuyashiki clan. They acquired and exercised the explosive physical abilities that the mark signify.
8) Muzan hates being called pale or dead
Muzan is the most powerful demon in the entire series, and is responsible for creating all demons. For someone who considers himself to be perfect, it is natural that he will hate being called pale or dead. This is established quite early on.
10) Black Nichirin Sword
This sword is used by the current protagonist Tanjiro Kamado and was also used by none other than Yoriichi Tsugikuni.
After Tanjiro chipped his sword in his battle against Upper Rank Six, Hotaru trained more to make a stronger sword. Hotaru demonstrated his professionalism and expertise when he polished and sharpened the 300-year-old blade left in Yoriichi Type Zero while completely ignoring the wounds he received from Gyokko.
Tanjiro's ancestor was a good friend of Yoriichi and arguably was one of his only true friends. Therefore Yoriichi gave the earrings as a gift, and since then they have been passed down the generations until they reached Tanjiro.
In an interesting turn of events, as mentioned above, Tanjiro later uses the flame handguard from Rengoku's sword on the legendary Yoriichi sword he finds during the Swordsmith Village arc.
