Qui-Gon Would Have Trained Anakin — But Not As A Jedi
Qui-Gon was determined to teach Anakin, whether the Council liked it or not. As seen in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, initially the Jedi decided Anakin should not be trained.
Palpatine may still have eventually traded Dooku in for a newer apprentice, but nothing would have hindered his rise to power. Had Qui-Gon trained Anakin and kept him far from Palpatine, Anakin might have eventually died in the Clone Wars and been completely unable to fulfill any Chosen One prophecies.
In a straight up duel Anakin stomps. However, Qui-Gon could possibly talk Anakin down and convince him to leave the dark side, avoiding a fight altogether.
Qui Gon HAD to die for Vader to exist. In several aspects, he poses a direct threat to Palpatine and the Sith in general. As such I do not believe Anakin would have fallen prey to the Dark Side with Qui Gon. He needed ONE just ONE powerful, validating and understanding mentor.
We are just barely seeing a 600-something-year-old Yoda in the High Republic era. And given that Qui-Gon Jinn dies in 32 BBY, a fight beyond that point would be pointless since, as a Jedi spirit, Jinn would arguably be stronger than the still physically alive Yoda.
The reason why Qui-Gon Jinn is the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy is because he had seen everything that would unfold throughout the Skywalker Saga in a vision of the future, sacrificing himself to ensure the fulfilling of the Chosen One prophecy.
When Qui-Gon Jinn showed up on Naboo and threatened to throw a bantha-sized wrench into his plot, Palpatine had to act fast. He dispatched Darth Maul to get rid of the Jedi Master once and for all. Therefore, just like Yoda said, Palpatine's fear led to evil deeds, death and the rise of the dark side.

Because the truth is, Qui-Gon Jinn was a unique Jedi, one who stood on the fringes of the Order and yet had enough influence to potentially disrupt all of Palpatine's plans. Truly the dark side favored Palpatine when Maul succeeded in killing Master Qui-Gon Jinn.
The Jedi Master who raised Cal Kestis, Jaro Tapal would have been the perfect master for Anakin. A firm and occasionally impatient master who demanded much from his padawan, Jaro could have easily kept Anakin in line.
Vader probably never thought about Qui-Gon during his place as the Emperor's right hand man, so there's a small chance we'll see or read about that in the future.
Qui-Gon Jinn, who is considered a maverick Jedi Master by his colleagues, might have been able to keep Anakin on the path of the Jedi, had he not been killed by Darth Maul. Star Wars' Qui-Gon Jinn would have been the ideal mentor for the young Anakin.
Palpatine admits to Darth Vader that the Jedi he actually feared most was none other than Jocasta Nu.
1 Darth Sidious
As well as being a gifted bladesman Sidious' connection to the Dark Side is extremely powerful, granting Sidious the ability to conduct force lightning.
Coleman Trebor is by far the weakest Jedi to ever exist. He made his movie appearance in Attack Of The Clones. His death was shot and quick. All it took to kill him were a few well aimed blaster shots from Jango Fett.
He brought up his Disney+ series showing "a little bit of prime Luke" and how powerful the Jedi was shown to be; however, he ultimately thinks it comes down to Anakin having "faced so many more challenges" that would get him the win: The Cyber Nerds: “Prime Anakin Skywalker vs.
Quite simply, Qui-Gon did not have much training when it came to trying to combat Sith Lords, and at the time, it would have been irresponsible for the Jedi Counsel to spend any additional time concerning a threat that was considered long extinct, especially when you add to the fact that they believed they would be ...
Though Qui-Gon Jinn was strong in the ways of the Force, including telepathy and levitation, there's just no way he would beat Luke Skywalker in a fight. In both of their primes, Luke still makes for a better swordfighter with better agility. Qui-Gon isn't known for being a strong fighter.
