All earrings (ball, pearl, or diamond) must be 4mm - 6mm (approximately 1/8 inch - 1/4 inch). Ball earrings may be plain with shiny or brushed matte finish, screw-on or post type. Pearl earrings have one small single white pearl. Diamond earrings must be white diamond, round cut.
Body Piercing. Not authorized while in uniform. No articles, other than earrings for women speci- fied above, shall be attached to or through the ear, nose, or any other body part.
Army Piercing and Tattoo Regulations. Army women can now wear studded earrings in the Army combat uniform (ACU) unless in a field or tactical environment. ALARACT 40/2021 restricts earrings to gold, silver or clear diamond. While in service or dress uniforms, female soldiers can also wear pearl earrings.
Attaching, affixing or displaying objects, articles, jewelry, or ornamentation to, through, or under their skin, tongue, or any other body part is prohibited (this includes earrings for male Soldiers). This applies to all Soldiers on or off duty.
You will have to remove your nose piercing. Even when you aren't on duty and/or in uniform you cannot have any piercings other than your ears. That means the piercing will close up. You cannot maintain it.

The USPHS Commissioned Corps does not authorize body piercing/jewelry even in civilian attire while in a duty status or while participating in any organized USPHS Commissioned Corps activity.

Except for the Navy, women do not have to get their hair cut. However, when in uniform (which is all the time in basic training), women must wear their hair in such a way that the hair does not protrude past the bottom of the collar, and is not below the eyebrows.

(i) Smoking in all Defence establishments has been banned for several years. The current policy extends this ban and provides guidance to Commanders/Managers on how to implement the policy. The smoking restrictions also apply to contractors and visitors.
Beards are normally not allowed in the Australian Army. Moustaches may be worn. However, moustaches can not be grown past the ends of the top lip. Sideburns are not to be grown past the point where the bottom of the ear connects to the facial skin.

The hair on the top of the head must be neatly groomed and not bulky. The length of the hair must not present a ragged, unkempt or extreme appearance and any form of length or bulk that detracts from a professional military appearance is prohibited.
Navy Tattoo Policy and Regulations
New regulations allow for unlimited tattoos on the legs, arms, neck, and even on the hands and behind the ears. The only places on the body that are off limits are the head, face, and scalp. Tattoos on the torso are also allowed, but they must not be visible underneath whites.
Use of hair dye is allowed for both men and women, so long as it is a natural color.
When on any Army installation or other places under Army control, soldiers may not attach, affix, or display objects, articles, jewelry, or ornamentation to or through the skin while they are in uniform, in civilian clothes on duty, or in civilian clothes off duty (this includes earrings for male soldiers).
Facial piercings are not permitted, except for female trainees, who are authorized to wear earrings.
Some mouth and oral piercings are easier to hide than others. Piercings under the tongue, the frowny, and smiley piercings are simple to hide.
Piercing retainers are the best option for concealment once your piercing is fully healed and you can remove it. They are clear and skin-colored silicone or dental-grade acrylic placeholders for your piercing.
