General (G) The G classification is suitable for everyone. G products may contain classifiable elements such as language and themes that are very mild in impact.
Rated G: General audiences – All ages admitted. Rated PG: Parental guidance suggested – Some material may not be suitable for children. Rated PG-13: Parents strongly cautioned – Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.
Each of the designated ratings is defined as follows under the Motion Picture Classification and Rating program. G: GENERAL AUDIENCES. All ages admitted. PG: PARENTAL GUIDANCE SUGGESTED. Some material may not be suitable for children.
G — General Audiences.
All Ages Admitted. A G-rated motion picture contains nothing in theme, language, nudity, sex, violence or other matters that, in the view of the Rating Board, would offend parents whose younger children view the motion picture.
: having a rating of G : suitable to be seen by children : having no violence, offensive language, or sexual activity.
PG films are suitable for general viewing, but some scenes may be unsuitable for young children. A PG film should not disturb a child aged around eight or older. However, parents are advised to consider whether the content may upset younger or more sensitive children. Legally a child of any age may view a PG film.
They basically don't exist, except for Pixar movies. Why did the MPAA allow this to happen? In truth, the American Motion Picture Association's rating system encourages movie to be more “adult.” American movies basically have two ratings, PG-13 and R, with PG used for children's movies.
General (G)

N.A. Most parents would find this program suitable for all ages. Although this rating does not signify a program designed specifically for children, most parents may let younger children watch this program unattended. It contains little or no violence, no strong language and little or no sexual dialogue or situations.
From a G to an H
Truck tires typically come in two load ratings: G and H. Load range G is a 14-ply configuration, while load range H tires have 16 plies. The heavier-rated tire will usually add between 700 pounds and 1,000 pounds more load-bearing capacity per tire (see "How Much is Too Much," next page).
TV-Y7 - programs most appropriate for children age 7 and up. TV-Y7-FV - programming with fantasy violence that may be more intense or more combative than other programming in the TV-Y7 category. TV-G - programs suitable for all ages; these are not necessarily children's shows.
According to the Motion Picture Association, the PG-13 label means the movie is fine for kids over the age of thirteen. It may not, however, be appropriate for children under thirteen because of language, violence, nudity, and other mature content.
“That's the most R-rated G you will ever see in your life,” said Tab Murphy, a screenwriter of Disney's animated “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” which was released 25 years ago this month.
The MPAA rated Shrek PG for mild language and some crude humor.
Kiss someone when you feel ready, regardless of how old you are. Around ages 12-15, people often start having their first kiss. Don't feel pressured by other people your age kissing people, and don't rush into kissing someone if you are apprehensive. You'll know intuitively when the time feels right.
Rating & Content Info. Why is Frozen rated PG? Frozen is rated PG by the MPAA for some action and mild rude humor.
Appliances are tested for how much energy they use during typical use. This gives them a rating on a scale of A to G, with A being the most efficient product of its class, and G being the least efficient. Some appliances use an older scale, from A+++ to G, with A+++ being the most efficient.
M is an advisory classification The content is moderate in impact. M films are not recommended for people aged under 15 as a level of maturity is required. MA 15+ is a legally restricted classification The content is strong in impact. MA 15+ films are not suitable for people aged under 15.
C: This content is purely for children under 14 years of age, but over the preschool age. Each 30 minute broadcast of a C-classified program may not contain more than seven minutes of appropriate advertising.
E = Everyone
Titles rated E – Everyone have content that may be suitable for persons ages six and older. Titles in this category may contain minimal violence, some comic mischief and/or mild language.
Titles rated M (Mature) have content that may be suitable for persons ages 17 and older. Titles in this category may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content, and/or strong language.
Disney/Pixar's upcoming computer-animated film Up has received a PG rating from the MPAA for “some peril and action.” The rating is now being featured on the movie's official website. This is only Pixar's second feature to receive a PG rating, after 2004's The Incredibles; all the others have been rated G.
