PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, Niacin supplement, high-sodium foods, high sugar foods, refined carbohydrates, spicy foods, and cigarettes 24-48 hours before and after your treatment. (All of these factors may increase risk of bruising and swelling).

Bending down after Botox won't have a harmful effect on the patient's health, but it may cause suboptimal results. The movement increases blood circulation to the face, raising the risk of botulinum toxin spreading to adjacent muscles before it has settled in the target area.
It can take two to four days before the weakening of the muscle begins and movement is stalled. You can see the maximum results of your treatment anywhere from ten to fourteen days after treatment. The best part is that maximum results can be seen up to three months after your treatment.

Sleeping on your stomach or side can cause Botox to migrate to other areas of your face. This can result in uneven results or even bruising. Sleeping on your back, however, minimizes the risk of it migrating and ensures it stays where it is supposed to.
After wrinkle relaxers, all patients should avoid laying down flat on their faces. Doing so could result in BOTOX injections migrating into the wrong areas, creating an unattractive or unnatural look. You should also avoid pressing on the treatment areas with your hands.
There's nothing wrong with wearing makeup after you get injections, but it's best to wait until the injection sites have closed up and the redness has faded away. Most individuals who get BOTOX injections experience mild redness for up to 24 hours after treatment.
