Endomorphs are best suited for strength and power sports such as powerlifting, strongman, and sumo wrestling. Their large size, short limbs, and easy ability to pack on muscle will give them an advantage in these types of activities.
Body type, or somatotype, refers to the idea that there are three generalized body compositions that people are predetermined to have. The concept was theorized by Dr. W.H. Sheldon back in the early 1940s, naming the three somatotypes endomorph, mesomorph, and ectomorph.
In fact, for men and women alike, ecto-mesomorphs tend to have the “fitness model” look. Often muscular with V-shaped torsos (think: wide upper back, developed chest and shoulders, narrow waist), ecto-mesomorphs are lean and agile, with strong-looking (but not bulky) arms and legs.
Endomorphs generally carry more body fat, while mesomorphs are generally leaner and more naturally fit by comparison. An endomorph's body tends to be slightly chubby and softer, whereas that of a mesomorph is more muscular and harder.
Endomorph Body Type
The endomorph is the hardest body type to have in terms of managing your weight and overall fitness, but to get a more balanced physique, you should focus on developing your shoulders and stripping away excess fat from your lower body.
Endomorphs have thick and wide bones and put on muscles easily with proper training and diet. There are several advantages to being heavily built and strong, especially in sports.

If the number you get is smaller than 0.1045, you have thin wrist bones, which is a sign that you're an ectomorph.
Mesomorph refers to body types with a naturally high muscle-to-fat ratio. People with this body type typically respond well to weight training, finding it easier than other people to build and maintain muscle.
Ecto-Mesomorphs This body type is lean and muscular. Meso-Endomorphs This person is strong but the muscles aren't well defined, as in a football player. But you don't need to be a football player to have this body type — in fact, it's more common than you may think.
The mesomorph is often seen as the most favorable body type. With an athletic build, a mesomorph can gain muscle relatively easily and retain it. Whilst they can also gain body fat quite quickly, it's no real issue losing it either. Those with a mesomorph body type tend to make the best bodybuilders.

Abdominal obesity is probably the most dangerous of all, and apple body shape is considered at the highest risk for health issues compared to the other body types. Larger waists can mean higher risk of heart disease. It can also mean higher risk of Type 2 diabetes.

“An endomorph has to be the strictest about their diet, including total calories and how many calories come from carbs, but if they do those things, they can slim down,” says Catudal.
The weakness for the ectomorph is a lack of strength. They can have lighter bones that aren't as strong, as well as less muscle that makes them less able to complete tasks that require strength or heavy lifting.
