Muichiro Tokito: The Mist Hashira with a Mysterious Aura
Despite being blind, he maximizes his concentration through painful memories, making him a formidable fighter. His toughness, concentration, and immense strength make him an unbeatable force, and he is widely regarded as the strongest Demon Slayer in the Corps.
Gyomei's father died of a disease while his mother died while giving birth to him. Some time later he was blinded due to a fever. In spite of this blindness, Gyomei had a keen sense of "sight" and was able to avoid malicious actions that some people around him do (trying to make him trip, throwing stuff at him etc.).
Despite being blind, Gyomei gained the ability to see without using his eyes. Through naturally sensing the people and objects around him, Gyomei can create images of his enemies in his mind. Demon Slayer Mark: During his battle against the Upper Moon One, Kokushibo, Gyomei awakened his Demon Slayer Mark.
There are many reasons to it. First, to cover his weakness of blind, he raised all his other senses such as hearing, smelling, touching and instinct. He highly developed his natural instinct so greatly that he can sense demon attack easily.
Gyomei's Nichirin weapon is quite peculiar, as instead of a sword, he has a Flailed Spiked Mace connected with an Axe. However, he could kill a Demon by landing rapid blows until daybreak. Gyomei can defeat Akaza without even awakening his Demon Slayer mark. Akaza is too inferior in front of Gyomei.
The secret to Gyomei's powers is that they are governed, regulated and enhanced by his emotional capabilities. So in a sense, his crying is a sign of his strength rather than weakness. As a gentle giant, Gyomei's character can be seen as a deconstruction of what makes a person strong in Demon Slayer.
Instead of a standard sword, Gyomei uses a spiked flail and axe to take out his enemies. It's a very strong and durable weapon that takes a lot of skill to use. Because Gyomei is blind, he uses the echoes of the chain to help him know the space and movements around him thanks to his acute sense of hearing.
During his battle against Kokushibo, Gyomei awakened his Demon Slayer Mark. It takes the form of cracked earth fissure-like patterns on both of his forearms.
Shinobu Kocho is a capable Demon Slayer whose worthy of being the Insect Hashira. That being said, she's arguably the weakest Hashira when it comes to pure strength.
Before Muzan can land a critical blow on Mitsuri, Tanjiro throws a broken Nichirin Sword which stabs Muzan in his head, causing him to miss. He grows furious with Tanjiro as the Castle breaks into the surface.
The Hashira of Demon Slayer are all vastly different when it comes to their abilities, and it can be hard to compare them when their fighting styles vary so much—but when it comes to power, Gyomei Himejima is easily the strongest of the nine.
1 Gyomei Himejima - The Stone Hashira
The oldest of the bunch, the Stone Hashira, Gyomei Himejima is 27 years old.
The Wind Hashira has one of the saddest backstories in Demon Slayer. His mother had turned into a demon and had killed five of his siblings. He was forced to kill his own mother in an attempt to save his only remaining brother, Genya.
Kazuhirō Sasaki ( 佐 さ 佐 さ 樹 き 和 かず 洋 ひ 郎 ろう , Sasaki Kazuhirō?) is a Demon Slayer and the Darkness Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps.
Gyomei Himejima, the Stone Hashira, is the strongest Hashira in the Demon Slayer corps in terms of strength and swordsmanship. He is the only person who uses spiked flails and an axe instead of standard swords to kill demons. Such a weapon takes immense precision and soundness to use without inflicting personal damage.
Only two Slayers were ever known to be older than 25 with a Mark. Yoriichi lived till old age, likely due to him having been born with the mark and thereby avoiding the curse altogether. Gyomei on the other hand did not activate his Mark until he was already older than 25.
Despite the intensity of his battle against the demon, he never manifested his Demon Slayer Mark, and undoubtedly did not even know the conditions for doing so.
However, the scar changed its appearance during the Final Selection when the Hand Demon gave Tanjiro a major blow to the head. The blow not only increased the size of his scar but changed its colour as well. The scar changed even more when Tanjiro fought against Gyutaro and Daki during the Entertainment District arc.
As the battle reached its climax, Tanjiro was able to knock the doll's head off and discovered that the mechanical body contained a mysterious sword. Fans of the manga will recognize this sword as the one carried by Yoriichi Tsugikuni himself.
Black swords are also supposed to hold all the colors, which means Tanjiro is to find his way through all colors and breathing techniques. It is also said to absorb the most sunlight, so it is the strongest sword against the demons.
Sensing their despair, Doma offered a chance to him and turned both Gyutaro and Daki into demons.
Regardless, Gyomei fought and defeated Kokushibo before taking on Muzan with the remaining Hashira. Himejima was taken out of the fight quickly when he lost his left leg to Muzan's attacks.
The Hashira are all genuinely good people
The concept of a betrayal in anime is so common that it's far surpassed trope territory and crashed into the world of memes.
