Instead of a standard sword, Gyomei uses a spiked flail and axe to take out his enemies. It's a very strong and durable weapon that takes a lot of skill to use. Because Gyomei is blind, he uses the echoes of the chain to help him know the space and movements around him thanks to his acute sense of hearing.
Gyomei is the only one among the current Hashira who doesn't use a Nichirin Sword.
He is also a skilled swordsmen. Unique Weapon: Gyomei wields a hand axe complete with a spiked flail attached to the hilt through a long chain. To wield his unique weapon he uses the sound of the chain to judge the position of the flail and axe, covering for and even taking advantage of his blindness.
The Stone Hashira has the most unique Nichirin Blade in the Demon Slayer Corps. In fact, Gyomei doesn't even wield a sword at all.
Gyomei Himejima, the Stone Hashira, for example, instead of wielding a sword, holds a giant axe attached to a chain which is still awesome, much like amber. Stone breathing is linked to being able to detach from emotions and be strong and steady, even though Gyomei is emotional and gentle.
8 Shinobu Kocho, The Insect Hashira
That being said, she's arguably the weakest Hashira when it comes to pure strength.
Gyomei Himejima
Gyomei Himejima, the Stone Hashira, is the strongest Hashira in the Demon Slayer corps in terms of strength and swordsmanship. He is the only person who uses spiked flails and an axe instead of standard swords to kill demons.
He trained his mind and body with the hope that one day he could eradicate all demons. Gyomei is extremely emotional and caring and is always concerned for those around him. This could be the main reason why he is always crying in the Demon Slayer series.
Specifically, Muichiro was the Mist Hashira who made use of the Mist Breathing sword style. He was also the youngest of the Hashira at only 14 years old, being considered a prodigy of the Corps who became a Hashira only two months after joining the Demon Slayers.
Tanjiro Kamado
It is not until the Hashira Training that Gyomei sees Tanjiro's character for himself and becomes impressed with the boy's honesty and character.
Gyomei's Nichirin weapon is quite peculiar, as instead of a sword, he has a Flailed Spiked Mace connected with an Axe. However, he could kill a Demon by landing rapid blows until daybreak. Gyomei can defeat Akaza without even awakening his Demon Slayer mark.
Tengen Uzui
He is the fastest Hashira, and the second physically strongest. Obviously, then, Tengen Uzui is rather proud. He is demanding, fussy, boastful, and prone to selfishness. But he is also ultimately kind and caring, with great love for his three wives as well as the other Hashira.
As the battle reached its climax, Tanjiro was able to knock the doll's head off and discovered that the mechanical body contained a mysterious sword. Fans of the manga will recognize this sword as the one carried by Yoriichi Tsugikuni himself.
Yoriichi Tsugikuni's Black Sword
Yoriichi, the first demon slayer, used the same sword that Tanjiro found after the Swordsmith Village arc adapted in Demon Slayer Season 3. It is a standard Nichirin katana with a deep black blade.
Gyomei was already past the age of 25 when he first activated his mark, yet he was able to hold his own against Upper Moon 1. Although the demon did confirm that activating the mark was fatal, Gyomei did not die immediately, proving that he deserved to be considered the current strongest Hashira.
He loses a leg in the final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji before dying from blood loss from his wounds. In the Reiwa Era, Gyomei is reincarnated as a kindergarten teacher.
After defeating the Upper Moon 1, Gyomei quickly found himself fighting against Muzan. During the fight, his legs are crushed, and he eventually dies while creating an opening for Tanjiro to attack.
Having been born blind, Gyomei learned to heighten his other senses, giving him a much stronger and more unique connection to the earth than most others.
Tanjiro Kamado wields a black Nichirin blade, but the symbolism of such a sword is unknown. Black blades are seen as a rarity, as demon slayers who wield them are doomed to die young. No wielder of a black sword has ever become a Hashira, either. However, this is all superstition.
Green Nichirin Blade
The Breathing that inspired many other techniques is represented by the green sword color. Wind is the element of the green Nichirin blade and Sanemi Shinazugawa is the one who wields it in Demon Slayer.
The unusual color is still an indication of Tanjiro's talent though because Nichirin blades do not change color for a wielder who is unskilled with a sword. Tanjiro pushed himself beyond his body's limits for two years while training to become a Demon Slayer, as he is not naturally gifted.
The warrior Muzan feared was a swordsman named Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Yoriichi was the only slayer before Tanjiro who came close to killing Muzan, and the flashback of their fight occurred in Chapter 187.
Obanai Iguro is one of the harsher Hashira members. He demanded that Giyuu be punished for allowing Nezuko to get away unharmed, and later restrained Tanjiro as he tried to help his sister. He hates demons and has little regard for his fellow Hashira, except Mitsuri Kanroji later on.
