The mutation that makes Wolverine worthy of the X-Men is that his cells regenerate at incredible speeds. He ages at a snail's pace, he can re-grow parts of limbs and organs after serious injury, and he is basically impervious to infection and disease.
So while the debate over whether or not Wolverine can regrow his arms or legs may never have a definitive answer, it's safe to say no matter how badly he's hurt, Wolverine can grow back at least one of his main limbs on a regular basis.
You may recall that at the end of The Wolverine, Logan's adamantium claws were cut off, and the bone claws grew back through the stubs in the adamantium coating. However, as you can see in the trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past and on the Empire cover, he has his adamantium claws again.
His main mutant power is rapid healing or “mutant healing factor”. This rapid healing allows for regeneration of damaged (or even destroyed) bodily tissues that exceed anything a “non-mutant” is capable of. In the movies and comic books Wolverine almost comes out as indestructible, like Superman.
In X-Force #5, Wolverine gets cut in half. If that wasn't bad enough, his remaining upper body is destroyed after he gets shot. Thanks to adamantium bones and a healing factor, Wolverine has survived some gruesome fates.
A bear would beat a wolverine in a fight by using its size and more effective attacks. Although some people have surmised that wolverines could attack a bear's jugular vein and tear it open to kill it, that's very unlikely.
Wolverine died back in 2014, but fans will remember that in The Hunt for Wolverine, it was revealed the villain Persephone and her company Soteira stole his corpse from his grave. Now, in Return of Wolverine #5, we learn she brought him back to life and forced him to do black ops.
Users. Wolverine: Because of his healing factor, Wolverine is able to live longer than normal and show no signs of aging until a later period of time.
Wolverine Gets Torn in Half by the Hulk
Wolverine #1, the Hulk wasted little time before ripping Wolverine in two and tossing each half of his body in different directions. To survive, Wolverine's top half had to literally crawl until he located the bottom half and let his body come back from that one.
While vibranium is the more durable material, adamantium is the more dense material. This means that given the right circumstances, adamantium can potentially cut through pure vibranium.
Like having a skeleton coated in lead, the metal leeches into Logan's body over time. It takes years to have a major effect, but by 2029, the year “Logan” is set, the adamantium has so weakened Logan that he's aging at a normal rate and struggling to heal himself after injuries.
Meaning having been born in 1832, in a perfect world without Transigen and the Adamantium skeleton, Wolverine would have lived to the year 2298 at the age of 466. That's a long time, so much more longer than any of us. Really puts our smaller life timeline in perspective.
Adamantium. Magneto can manipulate adamantium. Magneto has always been able to affect adamantium. This happens in many of different stories, including when Magneto slowly pulls Wolverine's adamantium-coated skeleton straight out of his body.
Of the characters on the list, the Hulk has the closest healing factor to Wolverine's, but we think that in general, the Hulk's abilities are more powerful than Wolverine's, mostly because of just how quickly the Hulk heals from massive injuries.
Wolverine will never break a bone. Wolverine also has superhuman strength because he has had to lug around an extra 100 pounds of metal for decades. And having indestructible bones means that Logan doesn't even need to use his claws to kill.
Who heals faster, Wolverine or Deadpool? Deadpool and it's not even close. Wolverine can heal to the point where he is a literal skeleton, he can heal is flesh and skin in a minute.
Only beings with godlike powers (such as Rune King Thor) or with strong magnetic powers (like Magneto) can manipulate Primary Adamantium. Otherwise, it is completely indestructible to all forms of attack.
Wolverine has a healing factor that allows him to recover from wounds fairly quickly. Wolverine's healing factor makes him capable of surviving without his legs or even his head attached to his body.
He has an extra defense from the Weapon X program, where his skeleton was coated in the near-indestructible steel alloy known as adamantium. This adds an extra 105 pounds to his frame—or 47.6 kilograms in Mr. Howlett's native metric system.
It appears that few wolverines live longer than 5 to 7 years in the wild. Some, however, do survive to 12 or 13 years of age.
Deadpool is effectively immortal, although he has died several times. He is still alive 800 years in the future when the new X-Force encounters him. In addition, Thanos once declared that Deadpool should "consider yourself cursed ... with life!"

It's official: Hugh Jackman is coming back as Logan, as has been previously confirmed by the actor and Ryan Reynolds.
As in Logan, Wolverine is just 3 centuries old. The answer to that is Adamantium poisoning. For the first 200 some odd years of Logans life, he had his healing ability and bone claws. Once he was implanted with adamantium, it started poisoning him slowly.
He'd be 197 at the time of his death in Logan.
