The itching normally lasts for 2 weeks after the scabies mites are killed. Treatment with the anti-scabies cream does not help the itch. The itching is an allergic reaction. The body reacts to the dead mites and eggs in the skin.
Lyclear sensitive lotion is the first gentle to hair and skin head lice treatment proven to kill 100 per cent of head lice and eggs in one application only.
All Lyclear treatments only require one application to effectively get rid of head lice and eggs. We advise you to re-check your treated child for head lice after 7 days and repeat the treatment if necessary, should you encounter any living head lice.
For the first few days to a week, the rash and itch can worsen during treatment. Within four weeks, your skin should heal. If your skin has not healed within 4 weeks, you may still have mites. Some people need to treat two or three times to get rid of the mites.
Why? The rash and itching of scabies can persist for several weeks to a month after treatment, even if the treatment was successful and all the mites and eggs have been killed. Your health care provider may prescribe additional medication to relieve itching if it is severe.

Lyclear treatments are specially developed to kill head lice and their eggs. In the event of a severe infestation, some eggs could still hatch after your first treatment, so you might have nymphs or baby head lice in your hair. There is no need to worry, as these nymphs only become mature after 10 days.
Notably, scabies can live for 48-72 hours on a mattress. It is also important to note that scabies can still live for up to 72 hours or three days, even without human contact.

Rash: Many people get the scabies rash. This rash causes little bumps that often form a line. The bumps can look like hives, tiny bites, knots under the skin, or pimples. Some people develop scaly patches that look like eczema.
They burrow under the skin where they live and lay their eggs. On a person, scabies mites can live for as long as 1-2 months.
Scabies cause an “intense, unbearable itch,” according to a report published recently in the journal Frontiers in Medicine. This is caused directly by the mites and the body's immune response to them. A later rash can look like lines on the skin that are grayish or skin-colored, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

Scabies presents within two to six weeks of initial infestation, but reinfestation can provoke symptoms within 48 hours.
Normal washing of clothes and bedding is recommended. Crusted Scabies: There are so many mites, which may fall off as “crusts” (like flakes of skin) that all clothing and bedding should be washed in a hot wash, and floors & chairs vacuumed well.
