According to Dr. Wilson, having a routine is “really comforting to the dog and helps them anticipate what the schedule is.” Dogs are better equipped to regulate their emotions when they know what to expect, so that means taking regular walks around the same time each day.
Dogs need exercise, even when it's hot. We recommend walking your dog in the morning or evening when it's cooler to reduce the risk of heatstroke and burning their paws on the pavement.
Walks are meant to stimulate a dog's mind and body and help them decompress. But repeating the same routine over and over can make walks lose their luster and become less fulfilling for both the dog and the walker.
On average, vets recommend walking the dog 3 – 4 times per day for at least 15 minutes.

Feeding an hour or so before your walk means your pup will be full of healthy nutrients and won't be starving before walkies, helping them feel energized and ready to take on the park!
You can feed them before or after a walk, but you have to ensure that the walk or exercise takes place at least one hour before or after the meal is eaten. Any exercise performed within that hour can result in an increased risk of gastric dilatation-volvulus, which is something just not worth risking for your pup.
If both dogs are reactive you should walk them separately. But even if one of the dogs is not reactive they may pick up bad habits from your reactive dog. Walking two dogs at once might make one become reactive. When you walk two dogs at once the dogs pull harder in order to be the leader.

When planning to go on a walk, make time for stopping along the way so that your dog can sniff his surroundings. "We should allow our dogs to be 'nosey,' and investigate the world around them. Sniffing is the way they parse information.
By the end of your walk they will feel like they are one pack. It is important that the dogs who are out on the walk are all heeling beside the person holding the leash. Any dog that is walking out in front of their humans will begin to regard himself as the alpha of the group.
Keep dogs under control
Keep your dog on a lead when walking on roads or when close to farm animals. A dog can cause distress to animals and endanger you. Keep your dog under control always so as not to disturb wildlife or annoy or frighten other visitors.
The Five Second Rule: Place the back of your hand on the sidewalk, pavement, or whatever outdoor surface your dog would walk on. If it's too hot to comfortably keep your hand there for five seconds, keep your dog's paws off it.
In any case, it is OK to skip the long daily walk every once in a while. On days without walks we just need to make sure that: The dog gets enough toileting opportunities (in the garden or in the form of short outings just outside your building). Adjust the frequency of these trips to your dog's age and health status.
But what we can do is replace their walks in the world with training, sniffing, chewing or indoor playtime. Having a rest day is often beneficial for the human-dog relationship as you tend to focus more on your time together, rather than completing the “chore” of a dog walk.
