This parable is generally interpreted as illustrating the great value of the Kingdom of Heaven.
White pearls symbolize innocence, beauty, sincerity, and new beginnings. This is what makes the white pearl a true classic for bridal jewelry. It's the most common pearl that you'll see used in any sort of jewelry today.
Parable of the Pearl Moral Lesson
There's not so much a moral lesson to the Parable of the Pearl of Great Price as there is a key to life. That is, there's nothing more valuable in life than seeking and knowing God.
Matthew 13:45-46
The common explanation is that the merchant represents a Christian, and the pearl of great price is the Kingdom of God to which he gives his all so he can be a part of it. Another interpretation is that the pearl is Christ, and a Christian gives his all to Him.
God's people are a “pearl of great price; [...] very precious to God, so highly esteemed by Christ, as his portion, his inheritance, and his jewels.” Christ was willing to give up everything—even his life—to buy us back, to redeem us, for eternal life with the Father in heaven.
Proverbs 31:10-12 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Her value is more precious than jewels and her worth is far above rubies or pearls. The heart of her husband trusts in her [with secure confidence], And he will have no lack of gain. She comforts, encourages, and does him only good and not evil All the days of her life.
Jerome: "Or, That treasure in which are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Col. 2:3.), is either God the Word, who seems hid in Christ's flesh, or the Holy Scriptures, in which are laid up the knowledge of the Saviour."
One pearl, the most precious of all, is the knowledge of the Saviour and the sacrament of His passion and resurrection, which when the merchantman has found, like Paul the Apostle, he straightway despises all the mysteries of the Law and the Prophets and the old observances in which he had lived blameless, counting ...
Since Pearl is born, even her looking is pretty and she had a native grace, Pearl is called as imp of evil by the Puritan kids and adults because of her mother's adultery sin. In addition, Pearl is not an opening kid. Under this situation, when other children are playing around, she never joins them or talks to them.
Lesson Summary. Pearl represents each of the key themes of Nathaniel Hawthorne's famous novel The Scarlet Letter. She represents her parents' sin and the reason her parents are judged. However, she also represents the love that unites them.
The Pearl, short story by John Steinbeck, published in 1947. It is a parable about a Mexican Indian pearl diver named Kino who finds a valuable pearl and is transformed by the evil it attracts.

A person suffering from tensed mind, indecisiveness, depression, and instability in life is advised to wear pearl stone. White Pearl stone is recommended for those people who get angry easily and lose their temper.

South Sea white pearls are the top grade pearl on the market. They are harvested from a silver or golden-lipped oyster, on the shorelines of Indonesia, Philippines, and Australia. She was Hester's only company, so Hester interpreted Pearl as a gift; however, Pearl is more of a curse than a gift for Hester because Pearl always acts against Hester, she indicates bad things, and if Pearl doesn't exist at the first place, Hester's life would be less dramatic.
Hester's biggest and only treasure is Pearl. She is what keeps Hester going every day and keeps her from sinning, but Pearl also hurts her mother; she is a constant reminder of her sin, of how she has to live with that for the rest of her life, and it's like Pearl knows that.
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
Interpretations. The metaphor seems to be teaching against giving what is considered just or holy to those who do not appreciate it. Animals such as dogs and pigs cannot appreciate ethics, and this verse implies that there is even some class of human beings who cannot, either.
At first, the pearl symbolizes great hope to Kino and his little family, but by the end of the novel, the hope has shifted into greed and all of the violence that accompanies it.
He says the kingdom of heaven is like “a merchant in search of fine pearls.” This merchant gives up his quest for many pearls and settles on one that is better than all the rest, selling everything he has to buy it.
So what does it look like to lay up treasures in heaven? It means believing God's promises and identifying with God's people despite the sure affliction that will follow (Hebrews 10:32-34). God is faithful to his promises and what he promises his people—salvation, life and inheritance—is eternal and incorruptible.
So we can see that storing up “treasures in heaven” does include giving to your local church, nonprofits, and to those in need. But that's not all. There's more to laying up “treasures in heaven” than giving away our money and possessions. It also includes living for God's glory and the good of others.
Aben-Esra and Abarbanel translate yhlm as "diamond"; but yhlm was demonstrated above to be beryl. Diamond is made up of pure carbon, mostly of a white transparent colour, but sometimes tinted. White diamond is often regarded as the most precious because of its beauty and rarity.
Psalms 19:10-14 In-Context
The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous. 10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. 11 By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
